Sometimes, a mother (dog) can have demotetic mange. It cannot be transferred to other dogs nor to humans, but because of this (usually shows itself by itchy feet, licking, etc) she passes on an immature immune system to her puppies...not all of them, but some of them. Now, all dogs have a mite that is infested in their hair follicles. Most puppies, dogs have an immune system that keeps the mites from becoming mange, but there are those few that do not. For those few, life is noting but misery...I won't go into a lot more detail, but if I were you, I would make an appointment with my vet asap and ask him to do a "scraping" where your baby is losing hair". He might still have time to treat it and save her, and it you are lucky, and it is something else altogether, great, you have caught that too. Hope this helps

Hi, Yes, dogs lose a lot of hair in the summer-time. They lose the hair because the weather is getting warmer so they are losing their winter coat so they won't be as hot. Then they grow it all back in the winter-time so they don't get cold. Then lose it in the summer-time. They don't lose ALL their hair but they shed a lot of it. It's a good idea to brush your dog everyday so all the loose hair comes out easier. =D =D =D ~ÅN¡Mål hElPE®~

could be many numbers of things, allergies or demodex mange are the most common. What you need to do is go to your family vet and ask for a skin scraping only 5 bucks at most and talk to your vet he can tell you more about your pups skin problems

hello. my dog went through the same thing about 2 months ago.she's still undergoing medicated bath every 3-4 days plus some oral supplements. NO CHICKEN!
have you had her checked by a vet? she could be carrying a tick that has that effect on dogs. you might also want to change her diet because allergy has the same effect, have her blood screened for any parasite. also, stress does the same thing. how is your pet's appetite? energy?
has her smell changed? how about moods? do observe your pet as from experience, your vet can help you better when you know your pet =)

Definately time for a vet visit.
Hair loss can be caused from anything from skin infections to thyroid problems. All of which are pretty easy to treat when taken care of early.

this could mean that she has sarcoptic mange or demodex mite both of these live under the surface of the skin and cannot be seen by the human eye, they need a skin scrape to find out if they have either of these take her to the vet both of these can be deadly to your dog if not treated quickly or efficiently.

You should comfirm your veterinarian. It might be a sign of old age or a bacteria in the skin. The vet might prescribe a cream, im sure its not bad but definately seek the vet.
