Your body is like a computer...You have to program its intake for fuel. Your stomach is the size of your fist so what you need to do is make each meal approx the same calorie intake and eat approx 5 to 6 times a day to give your body the fuel you need. If you stay on an eating schedule your body will know it does not need to store food because it knows it will get more on the schedule eating..thus..your body will not store fat.
Drink your 8 glasses of water works the same way. If your body knows its coming...it will not store it.
The less you eat in a day..the more your body will store it.

Yes, this is very true!
When people eat their biggest meal at dinner, all of those ingested calories have little chance of being burnt off, especially since most people park it in front of the TV after dinner, or choose to relax, instead of staying active.
I have changed my eating habits about a year ago, and quickly lost 25lbs with little to no effort, and have kept the pounds off. All that I did was stop eating large meals for dinner. I chose to eat a good breakfast, pretty much anything I want to eat (of course within reason, I don't eat pancakes every morning or Bacon and eggs), then eat a bigger lunch, pretty much eating whatever I want (within reason again, I'm not out eating fast food, or pizza everyday). Then instead of going home and eating another big meal, I stick to a small snack, and always eat it before 7:00. The type of snacks I eat are: yogurt, a few carrots and humace, a small salad with low cal dressing, half of a chicken breast........ you get the idea. I do, however; treat myself and go out to dinner sometimes, or cook a nice big dinner, and I still keep the pounds off.
I also, try to work out as much as possible, but there are some weeks when I can't find the time for even that, yet I still keep the pounds off with this new eating habit. I also sleep better, I no longer have that uncomfortable full feeling when it's time for bed.

I have also read that you should eat your heaviest meal when you will need the most energy, which would be lunch.
Breakfast doesn't need to be that heavy because in a few hours, you will have a lunch break.
It needn't be dinner because usually, after we eat dinner, we don't do much for the rest of the night and don't need extra calories to sleep.
Unless you are on a fitness program then usually your heaviest meal should be the one after your workout.

The person who referenced the small meals idea is correct.
But if you're going to eat a large meal you want it as early in the day as possible to burn those calories off the rest of the day. Hence the best meal for a large amount of calories would be breakfast.

I agree because I find that I sleep better if I have not eaten that much for dinner. I tend to work out in the evenings as well and usually don't have time for a heavier meal.
