yeah! Instead of Atheist, they should be called Xtheist.

I guess cruel irony. But, a lot of ppl hopefully know the difference, whether they're an atheist or not.

Nope not the same. This link makes it way quick to see the difference.

Atheist = No belief in God or Gods.

Theist = Belief in Multiple Gods

Personally I am more a Theist.

A theist believes that there is a "god" just not in one in particular. An atheist does not beleive in any God.

No, their belief is absolutely 180 degrees different, one letter changes the meaning completely.

look at it in a greek way...theist is a person believing in a God or gods...when you put the "a" infront of it WITHOUT a space it means without...so you're without a belief in a God or gods...

a - means oppose .. and theist means god... so atheist (all together now) .. means non-belief in god


a theist (seperated) .. means a person who believes in god...
