How long were you two together and who said it first?

it took me about a year to say those three words. i wanted to say it when i was sure i really did love him and not just because it sounded nice and was the apt thing to say. he actually said it first within five months of our relationship and i just smiled when he said it. now we say it at the end of each phone call, visit,etc.

It depends on the person. Some people hit it off right away and say I love you within a short period of time.
I have said within 2 days and I have said after 2 weeks and I also have said it after 2 months. I shouldn't be just something to say though. Saying I love you should be just words without meaning.
But to be honest with yourself is truly what needs to be. Then and only then will those words have real and tru meaning.

I had a boyfriend that we started telling each other I love with in 2 months BUT we had been friends for 8 years before and that made things alot easier. I still love him to this day - 2 years after we broke up

About 2 weeks. We started as friends and he said it first. We're still together after 6 years now.

I don't believe that there has to be a certain time or who needs to say I love you first. You will know when you feel it in your heart. When all you do is think about that person, you will realize that almost everything that surrounds you has something to do with that person, whether it be his favorite color the way he looks the car he drive there are lots of factors, when you longer eat or sleep as often because you're with that person. You will say I Love You when you feel it and most likely it will unexpected for both of you.

My husband and I were together for 4 and a half months. We were lying there watching a movie , it was the night before Thanksgiving and he said it first, I'd been dying to tell him but I was too chicken! That was 7 years ago!!

One spouse out of two said 'I love you' first and often, but didn't mean it... I was out of there within 3 months. The first spouse died; love alternated with disease.
Current friend of over 20 years rarely says those words, but when they are said it's with true meaning. Great! A good friend to have!

Im not really sure.. when i was younger my bfs would tell me they loved me after a couple of days... those didnt last.. with my fiancee i really dont remember how long is was before we said I love you .. but weve been together for months and wants to marry me... so i dont really know what to tell you.. some things work out and others dont.. its just a matter of destiny

well me and bf started talking on the computer back in 2005 then in June 2006 he gave me his phone number and we starting talking on the phone every night. In august my mother found out that he was 1/2 Mexican so i wasn't able to see him. But in September the 4th we started dating and we had already told each we loved each other.
We had already been through alot and we knew everything about each other, so in some sense we really did love each other.
He told me that he loved me first, but when he told me it kinda scared me because i thought that he was just gonna break my heart like my past boyfriends did but he was different and we are still together, telling each other that we love them every night.
