I don't think the retainers will do the trick. I had braces and used the retainers as directed. Not long after that my teeth began to shift again and I not happy. I spent about 4 grand to get them straight. I'm thinking about getting invisalign now. Maybe you should look in to that. If your teeth haven't shifted too much, with invisalign it shouldn't take too long to have them straight again. Of course, every individual is different. Good luck.

If your doctor said you didn't need braces again, then he thinks your teeth will move back into place. Your teeth have moved so much in the past year that your retainer is very tight and WILL make your teeth hurt probably for a while. Shame on your for losing your retainer. Learn from this.

If you wear your retainer, your teeth should gradually move back into place. Try wearing it at night when you sleep also.
My neice had the same problem as you are having....she lost her retainer, didn't wear it for a year or so, and her teeth started shifting. She went back to orthodontist, got a new retainer and her teeth have shifted back over 6 months time. Hope this helps. :o)

The purpose for retainers is to keep your teeth from relapsing, after the braces are taken off. When you took the retainers off the teeth slowly went back to their crocked positions. What you really need now is braces, again. How ever this time keep the retainers in.

retainers are sort of appliances that are used to hold the moved teeth in place and prevent relapse.may be in two forms-removable or fixed.after successful orthodontic treatment some individual might require for lifetime retainers also.a retainer is a passive thing that dont exert pressure on teeth or surrounding structures.

They will move back to their corrected place if you keep wearing the retainer until you are instructed to only wear it at night. They'll shift back to their original places significantly if you do not follow up with the retainer.

Yes they will move back. But you need to keep the retainer in at all times. Except for when you eat and brush your teeth. The only time you don't have to wear it is when our dentist tells you to take it out during day time or stop wearing it.
REMEMBER TO KEEP IT I YOUR MOUTH AT ALL TIMES!!

BUT THE QUESTION IS DO YOU THEY WILL MOVE BACK IN PLACE?????
I CAN'T MAKE OUT WHAT YOU ARE REALLY ASKING BUT MORE THAN LIKELY WEARING THE RETAINERS MOVED YOUR TEETH BACK INTO PLACE.
