My story:
I was at the friends house who was having a birthday party. Well, he got this candle that smelled like leather, which I thought was disgusting.
So I start babbling (yes, drinks were served), "What a stupid gift! WHY would ANYONE give a LEATHER candle?"
And the guy next to me says, "It was from me."
"Well, that's great!" was my reply. I felt so bad.

I usually don't have moments like that b/c I'm an open book. However, there was this one time last week when I wanted to eat my words! I work in conjunction with the CFO of our companies and he happened to be working in our office last week. I was having a particularly stressful day at work and I saw him in the little convenient store in my office building. I really didn't want to chit chat with him or exchange pleasantries, I just wanted to exchange a casual hello and goodbye since we're on a pretty personal level. What came out of my mouth astounded me and everything got jumbled up! I wanted to say " I'll see you up stairs big guy" but instead I said "I'll see you upstairs big boy". I was mortified!!
That is definitely one thing I wish I would take back!

Today! I met a guy in person that I had been talking to on the phone for about a month. In person, I just wasn't feeling the connection and I felt like it was a waste of my time. So when he asked if he was going to see me again, I said yes, but I have no intention of calling him or seeing him.

As for me, I'm an easy going person and I don't say much but when I do say something I mean it! I think before I speak. Once it's said, there is no way to take it back. I can't think of anything I've said that I want to take back but I can think of lots of things that I should have said and didn't.

Sadly enough I seem to put my foot in my mouth quite often...but I think the most recent was Monday. I said something that was actually quite rude to someone I care a lot about, I was only joking when I said it, but it came out wrong I guess.

About five minutes ago but I wouldn't regret about what I've emphasized, because it didn't seem offensive or stupid like some folks would.

Really can't remember. I'm more of an observer of people and their actions and a listener.... not much for making small talk.

does it really matter if you sincerely went back and tried to explain everything and truly resented your actions and are working super hard to control your emotions/actions/choices/jargon?
