You said the mindset of the top minds in the year 2 Million would probably be unrecognizable by someone of the 21st century. The man from 2 million would have an agenda that would read like a fairy tale to us. My present question is this;

“If God is omniscient wouldn’t He many times more intelligent than M2 man? This being so, perhaps God’s agenda appears fairy tale-like because of His perspective; we can’t follow it because it doesn’t make sense so to speak.”

We ask for Empirical evidence and He says ‘You have it but you need to view the chess board from my perspective to see the beauty of the moves’. You say, ‘Show your face God!’ But God is not impressed, he has given you the key to seeing His face but you won’t go beyond the M2 man-barrier. As such, you’re denunciations are equivalent to barking at the moon. I want you folks to you really digest this before you give your responses.

Theconfirmedatheist,
The whole exercise is to show that one must simply ASK God sincerly for His guidance and presence not try to deal with Him by OUR own methods. Even a child can comprehend God.

So let me get this straight, in him omniscients he created us knowing that wil will not understand any of it until M2 man comes around?? Would this not also mean that you must believe in Evolution to believe that M2 man really will exist.

Also since I didnt get to answer your first question. I dont think there will be ANY humans in 2 million years! We are just taking over way to quickly and will eventually destroy ourselves.

Here's the problem with your argument, this "God" character gave his instructions to primative man, which in your analogy would be the equivalent of giving "War & Peace" to a modern day 3 year old. It would be dumb to do so, because the 3 year old would have no use for the book (it has no pictures) can't understand the concepts of the book, and most likely can't understand most of the words on the pages in the first place, if it can identify any at all.

If your god doesn't understand this, then perhaps it isn't the god's fault, perhaps the god isn't very smart. Or maybe, just maybe, the way YOU are looking at this is faulty. The book was written by men, not by a god. Even if a god did "inspire" the books within the book, inspiration is not the same as actually writing something itself. Your book is faulty because the men who wrote it had no knowledge of things they did not know that we know today.

Edit: Thank you for clarification on the point of your question. Unfortunately, this also has flaws. If all one has to do is ask your god for guidance, then there is no need for a bible or any religion at all. Anything your god would want you to know would be told to you specifically by your god.

p.s. you can't have it both ways, either we understand god, or we don't.

Quite possibly extinct.

But in my wildest dreams civilization would expand far beyond the reaches of this planet and human beings would acquire technology and social value systems that make us look cruel and barbaric by comparison. Maybe we could genetically change ourselves, machines, or other species to give others the intelligence needed to survive in the world.

P.S. There is no evidence for supernatural existence or intervention of any kind. Why believe in god, much less a specific one? The religious books of all times implies that the supernatural is regularly involved with human affairs. Why no evidence? Especially as people kill each other daily over different interpretations of their invisible man.

I'm a denunciation? Cool. I never knew that.

So your evidence that God exists is that we currently lack the cognitive ability to comprehend Him? That's like saying that the Invisible Pink Unicorn must exist because Stevie Wonder can't see Her.

Being able to understand god is not the problem at this point. The problem is that there is nothing to suggest he exists to understand.

If we time travel ahead to the distant future there will still be some physical form, even if it's different than what we have now, we can point to.

Your argument simply doesn't work.

Not much of a theory to digest actually. If anyone wants to understand the Bible you would only need to have the mindset of illiterate story tellers of 2 to 4 thousand years ago. Hard for me to imagine how people of today use those stories and fables of that period as a foundation for their religious beliefs of today.

Gods are an invention of man to fill in the gaps in his knowledge.
We now know that thunder is not caused by some god in the sky hitting his anvil with his hammer

I can't even envision what the world will be like next year then trying to go 2mil into the future. I'll be surprised if man is still here.

I notice that many, many of his followers here claim to know exactly what he's thinking and what he wants...but based on their cognitive abilities presented here, it's much more likely they're describing their own mind rather than the mind of any inifinitely wise and compassionate deity...
