I have been showing up just to get paid for quite some time. When I finish my schooling and start doing work that I actually believe in and enjoy I will have a much better outlook on my career. Til then, I'll just collect my petty lil paycheck.
You can start your day over at anytime, Ken, it's up to you. You will feel better if you can leave it go, you have a lot going for you and you will make it through the struggle. So it is time to get off your pity pot and put a smile on your face and get back to your real self.

We have people do this in some of the places I work, only they stay and put extra burden on the rest of their co-workers. I don't know what kind of work you do or if it effects your co-workers, but it sucks when you have to pick up someone elses slack. Sorry to be blunt. Good luck in finding a job you enjoy. It is important to like your work and be happy.

Okay, I totally get your point. I don't blame you a bit for feeling the way you do. Keep in mind that things will work out. :0 )

Hmm... Have you been told you're being fired? Have you given them notice?

Either way sounds reasonable. I say Give them notice. Tell them you're leaving and when they ask how long you'll still be with the company, just say till I get my stuff out of my desk.

You don't know how many times in my working life I have felt like that. You aren't alone there.
