It means your bible came with a place holder. And that's probably it.

For those who don't have NIV Bibles handy, the verses cited start in the MIDDLE of the bit where the anti-resurrection Sadducees query Jesus about the seven brothers who all married the same lady by turns and had no heirs ("Whose wife will she be?"), continues through the bit about "the widow's mite" and the signs of the end of the age, covers Judas' betrayal of Jesus and ends in the MIDDLE of the Last Supper, with Jesus saying "Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat."

If every buyer get the place holder at a specific page, then publisher has some intention. But that cannot be the case.

I think this would mean that when you are reading your Bible, you can use the place holder to make it easier to find where you left off.

It means you have a nice new shiny Bible. The printer had to put the place holder SOMEWHERE and that's where it wound up.

Probably nothing, but maybe everything. Read those verses and they will be meaningful if you read with an open and loving heart and mind.
