INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
.
Chocolate Walnut Icing
1 1/3 cups confectioners' sugar
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 tablespoons milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
PREPARATION:
In a large mixing bowl, blend butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs; beat well with a spoon. In a small bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually blend into wet mixture. Stir in pecans. Spread batter in lightly greased and floured 8- or 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes, or until brownies just begin to pull away from sides of pan. Prepare icing and frost while brownies are still warm.
Icing
Place powdered sugar in medium mixing bowl. Melt the 3 tablespoons of butter or margarine in a small saucepan over low heat; stir in 2 tablespoons of cocoa, blending until smooth. Add milk; stir constantly over low heat until mixture has thickened slightly. Pour hot mixture over the powdered sugar; beat until smooth. Stir in 1/4 teaspoon vanilla and 1/4 cup chopped walnuts. Spread warm icing over still-warm brownies.
You can ask a bakery to bake them for you.

Honestly - cooking in a microwave requires special recipes that are formulated specifically for that cooking method.

Do a search in Google for microwave brownie recipes and you will find some things. Here are a few sites that might help:

Greasing a pan can be done with a cooking spray (such as Pam). It can also be done with shortening or butter - to do that, use a paper towel, dip it into the butter or shortening, and then wipe a small layer of the butter or shortening onto the pan.

You may also want to talk to your parent or guardian about learning to use the oven when they can help you. You will have much better luck and the food will taste better.

Here are also some articles to help you learn more about cooking in general and some common cooking terms:

You may also want to go to a library or bookstore to look for books and cookbooks for young cooks. Once you find a book you like - either save up to get it or ask for it as a gift.

Hope that helps - and good luck!

I would recommend the Allrecipes website. they have a lot of microwave recipes, and they are rated by users, so you can see how the recipes turned out for other people. Just type in "microwave" in the search and you will get recipes for all types of dishes.
I think it's great that you are learning to cook, hang in there, everybody has things that don't turn out right!

A greased pan means to coat the bottom and sides of the pan with a thin layer of shortening, butter, or margarine. It won't take much, and you can spread it with your hands. You can also spray it with a pan coating, like Pam.
