not only do you have to take your coumadin you will also have to have your lab work done. there should be a coumadin clinic. don't know the cost but there should be some kind of assistance you can get. talk to your cardiologist.

Call your County Hospital and they will tell you where to go for free treatment. you may have to wait a bit in line, but you'll get some help. At the same time talk to your doctor to help you get free medication from the pharmaceutical company that makes that medicine. Don't wait until your medication is finished. The sooner the better.

A lot of pharmaceutical companies are helping people without insurance get the drugs they need. Call your pharmacist and ask them what programs they know about. :)
Good luck!

try this website:
www.pparx.org
it is a database for drug companies & organizations that help with prescriptions for those who have no coverage. you can look it up by drug & if it's listed, you see if you qualify for any help.
in the meantime, see if the dr has any samples he can give you (if he won't call back, ask his nurse), and check with the health dept or local dept of human services to see if they can help at all.

There should be a free clinic in your town that can help you with health problems and meds. Some of the bigger drug companies can help with meds, too. Ask your physician if he has samples.

Your doc can prescribe generic coumadin which is called warfarin. You will be able to get this cheaply at the pharmacy.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about generic drugs or finical assistance. DO NOT STOP YOUR PILLS. but I'm sure you know that.
