Good for you. Although I don't "beat the Hell out of them", I do whoop their butts. When the answer is "NO", I get no argument and have polite children. It only took a few times until they understood that I mean business and NO means NO. There are no arguments, no whining, etc. If more parents would let their children know that they are NOT the boss, and stop coddling the poor little things, we wouldn't have a discipline problem.

Children are the product of the parent. Show me an out of control child, and i'll show you an out of control parent. Hating the child makes no sense, its the parent that needs correcting for the sake of the child.

Poor things.

What I do hate, is that its no longer socially acceptable for people to knock the hell out of rotten teens. It used to be that trouble kids could get a whooping from any one in town for being stupid and dangerous... these days you cant even look at them without getting in trouble.

I think out of control children need to be taken down a few notches. It seems like kids these days get everything they want and have no concept of the word "no". Even when they hear "no", they know it doesn't mean "no", but "keep bugging me and I'll give in". Not in my house. When my 2 hear "no", they don't press. When I tell them to do something, they better do it. It doesn't always work, but there is no negotiation regarding it. They do it anyway, like it or not.

I blame this on drunken senator's wives who have nothing better to do that complain about the "lesser" people. I blame a lot of things on them.....

Regarding out of control kids,..I'm considered the "mean auntie," and I'm the person all my brother and sisters -in-law use to threaten their kids. Meanwhile, MY kids are expected to always be on their best behavior. Many people are afraid to discipline or chose not to because they would rather be a buddy than a parent. My in-laws never want their kids to face consequences. Unsurprisingly, they themselves can't handle being corrected or confronted about anything. I want to move to a cave sometimes,...... We should start our own civilization, at least it would BE civilized.

I would suggest you not post here, things you don't want yahoo to give your ISP to the authorities for.
To answer your question, kids today are really no different to kids of yesterday. It is the parents lack of parenting skills, mainly because both parents work and come home to tired to care. Then there are the ones that seem to think as you do, which turn out violent and defiant teens, because of lack of bonding. The prime reason we have CPS is for the protection of these children thus helping to put a stop to violence in their later years.
I would suggest you take some parenting classes and get yourself under control before you loose your children.
As a 5th grade teacher, I would not hesitate one second, to report you to CPS.

Given your past questions I have a hard time believing you even have your own house, let alone kids to live in it with you.
