If the medicines are liquids you need to put them in a plastic zip bag too, apart from the one liter or one quart bag that you may take too.
But there are restrictions on how much you may take.
I have read that you are only allowed enough for the travel and a reasonable amount in case of a delay, (say enough for one day after you expect to arrive.) The rest should go in the hold luggage.
Best check with the airport or airline on this, too important to go on what people say on the web.
And you need to bring a letter or form from your doctor with the medicines, (even when it is an over the counter medicine,) they have to be in the original bottle, with the medical and chemical name on it, and by preference your name too.
(Keep a copy of this doctors letter with the rest of your medicines.)
Added:
Also take a prescription for all your medicines, ask your doctor to put in the brand name as well as the chemical name so pharmacies where you go can get you new meds if needed.
