Like most of the south the sweet corn in Florida sucks. So I want to ship some Michigan corn down south. Can I? What is the best way to ship this?

Sure. I shipped fresh fruit and vegetables to our kids when they were in college.

Packaging is everything. Assume the box will be dropped, turned on edge, and have other heavy boxes set on top of it. Pad accordingly. For corn, I'd leave the husk on and wrap each ear in bubble wrap or foam.

I liked to bag each item or kind of item, so that if there was a delay and anything went bad, the yuck factor was contained.

Make sure you tell the post office the box contains perishable items.

Yum, now you've got me wanting sweet corn!
