atheism is from ancient Greek, meaning unbelieving in the divinity of the state. This is from a time when not believing in the Gods that the government did was a punishable offence.
A "theist" is someone who supports the divinity of the state, and believes in the Gods that the government supports.
Perhaps this will explain why an atheist is certainly different than a theist. See, there's different letters and everything. Right now, by the originating standards, since it is against our constitution to have a state supported religion, everyone in the United States of America is an atheist...no matter who you are, you don't believe in the Gods that the government does...because the Government doesn't have a God list for us to check.

Do Christians really mean to say: we want to be atheists really but we cover ourselves and believe through fear in case there is a God. We would rather be happy and live without fear knowing the truth than walking around with this terrible misery that comes as a result of, if we are wrong and we did not believe we will go to Hell thinking that we have, so we live hell on Earth in case?

no they do not. A changes the direct meaning of the word it is infromt of. to insert the A infront of a word mean "having no" or "lacking"
theist means having a belief in a God or system of gods. inserting and a infront changes it to having no belief in a God or system of gods.
I hate to use this example but like the difference between sexual and asexual.
Even thugh I know you weren;t being serious. . .

Atheists are over-represented (relative to Theists) in science and higher education. If anyone is misspelling something, it most likely is Theists.

The 'a' is a prefix meaning "not" theist. It is totally intentional English.

Not a chance. Study a little orthography, and learn that "A-theism" means "Without theism", or "without belief in a supernatural god".
And stop trolling.
