from the site where there is more detail ..
A way to kill bed bugs more easily without having to move out of your home is to completely eliminate them; this can be difficult as these little creatures can hide just about anywhere, from behind the light plate on your wall to under your pillow and mattress, and seal up all cracks and crevices in the home--even the area between the wall and the molding where the floor meets the wall. Sealing up these areas decreases the likelihood of the bed bugs finding a place to lay low until the air clears--literally.
After everything has been sealed and exposed, there are a few methods you can use to get rid of bed bugs but the most practical by far is steam cleaning. Most professional exterminators will use steam cleaners to kill the bugs as they can hardly survive at temperatures above 110 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat kills the bugs, and after that it is just up to you to clean up the remains and make sure you don't ever have to deal with the bed bug problem ever again.
After the bugs have been killed, the problem is no longer how to kill bed bugs but how to keep them gone. If things are done right, rarely do bed bugs re-surface but it is important to always keep an eye out for them when you are traveling, even if you are staying at the Ritz-Carlton or the Waldorf-Astoria. After all, bed bugs do not discriminate and they have a tendency to travel great distances just to make the lives of human beings a tad bit more trying.

The best way is to call an exterminator with experience in killing bedbugs. The bugs usually show up after someone brings them in (say a guest comes to your house after staying at a hotel where there were bedbugs). They are parasites so they travel with the host (us, unfortunately). They can hide just about anywhere. In the folds of your curtains, tucked into folds of sheets, in wood furniture, in picture frames.
If you have an infestation, call for help. It'll be too much to get rid of on your own.
And don't set the bed on fire. You could burn your home down.

Use 91% alcohol (not the kind u drink) and actaully spray them, this will kill them on the spot!!! Locating the egg sacks will be very HARD and tidious, Alcohol ither than Heat IS the Only way to Kill the entire eggs sack.....The other way is to have your place "Heat Treated" .. This will kill every kind of bug in your place. It will take an entire day for the process but well worth it for eradicating the dreaded Bedbugs and their eggs... All the BED BUG products on the market only kill the bug not their eggs leaving the consumer to repeated application over a 2 month period, costing the consumer....

Bedbugs come from all over. Usually via travel. A way to find out if you have them is to look at the bottom of your mattress, if you see fecal matter, then you have bed bugs. Wash all of your clothing in hot water. Use a fogger in each room.

bedbugs are really bugging once they enter ur house. They are really sickening. Even i have suffered from their invasion. we tried many things. Killing them by throwing petroleum is a momentary way to get rid of them but there is a very weird fact about them that the more you kill them the more is their birth rate. (strange!!! but true) You have to sacrifice ur house for a day by pest controlling ur house. there's no way out other than pest control. as far as hiding is considered the question is- "where do they not hide". They invade everything literary eveything!!
