I am not actually fat, honest, but I always feel like my weight goes up and down. I am VERY active, go to the gym 3-4 times a week, I do yoga, pilates, run 1-2 times a week outside, hike!!! I could go on and on. YES I eat well, I am actually very educated on nutrition - I just don't understand why I feel this way. I am not an insecure person, as I understand this seems like a sign of that - I just don't feel great even after all I do to keep phsically fit. Maybe it's in my head, but when I look in the mirror and see celulite on my thighs and butt, i don't think it is! YIKES- is it just that I am getting older?

Look on the bright side! Your eyesight is pretty good.

Just kidding. It's no surprise you feel this way when you look in the mirror. We're constantly bombarded with images of malnourished models and anorexic celebrities reinforcing the idea that thinner is always better.

Women are suppose to have curves. And it's healthier to have that curvy look. And despite what the current perception may be, men actually prefer curvy women. Rather than stress out over what the media says you should be, I recommend you find acceptance being what you are. You are normal! Relax!

We all have a food weakness. Mine is a good cheeseburger with steak fries or a baked potato with butter & sour cream. What you have to ask yourself is what kind of life do you want. I sit at a desk 5 days a week 8hrs a day and I think everyone that sits at a desk no matter how active will gain a bit of weight. When I was young I remember my clothes feeling tight in the winter but when the summer came around I would feel my pants getting looser as I would be more active. I have just recenlty switched from coca-cola to diet sodas. It is a small change but one day at a time. I don't think yo-yo dieting is the best thing for anyone.

Have you ever seen the cartoon of a man and a woman standing in front of the mirror? The woman is in great shape but her reflecting image is that of a heavy woman with cellulite. The man looking in the mirror is a hairy man with a bear gut but what he sees is a great looking muscle man. I think men and women are programed to see themselves this way. Women will always feel heavier than they are and big hairy men will always see themselves as hott studs. Dont worry I'm sure you look great.

If your weight is in or close to the norm for your height and body frame don't fret. You are okay, it's a mind thing. Think about something or someone that you enjoy and be happy.

dont compare yourself to others. Be yourself.
I mean.. yeah you might have celullite but who the heck cares .. You are special and unique in your own beautiful way.. People love you for who you are not what you look like.
Just thank god you are not anorexic or bulemic.. b/c that is just the wrong way to go, which leads to death

Sounds like you need to focus on yourself less and others more. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in ourselves we focus on every little thing, when in fact spending time thinking of others is much more productive.

You must adjust your 'self image' as you age.
How you see yourself reflects to how others see you.

You should rethink "you"

All people and life itself are precious

You are included also

Rethink your self image

Deny falsities from your past relationships
Embrace truth, it will set you free.
Good Luck
