2/3 of them pay taxes anyway (FACT), i'd say cudos for them.
Oh and by the way America already is the "joke of the world". Bush made sure of that. :)

I think that the country would retaliate and try to impeach the law maker that passed it.

The following 10 facts have been pulled from the LA Times.

1. L.A. County has 10 million people. 40% of all workers in L.A. County are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants, working without a green card.

2. Of the 10 million people in L.A. County, 5.1 million people speak English. 3.9 million Speak only Spanish.

3. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

4. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

5. Over two-thirds of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

6. Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

7. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

8. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

9. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

10. 21 radio stations in L.A. are Spanish language only

Oust the politicians that permitted it to happen.

Once all prospective benefits to illegals are cut off, including jobs and education, and the border is secured and a visa exit tracking system is in place, and our laws are prospectively enforced, that would be a possibility for those not otherwise criminal nor in gangs.

However, on its own, you would see a dramatic change in government.

It would be a very sad day for the rest of us legal citizens. It would effectively make being a citizen less meaningful if was to be just given away so easily.

:(

I would be disappointed since that seems not to be the will of the majority of Americans. I would hope that they seal the borders and not let anyone else in until those new legal citizens can truly acclimate.

They can do that the day after they give all LEGAL immigrants their green cards and US citizenship for free,(not that they ever will!) so they (legals) don't have to spend thousands of dollars and wait years for their forms to be processed.

It amazes me how illegals feel they should be put ahead of Legals, who have followed the law to gain entry into the USA

What about the other 20 million here, I think they will be really mad to be left out. You would see a tea party and revolution that will make the last one look like a picnic.

After my anger subsided a little, I would do my best to leave the country and never look back.

I would be furious and I'd make a point of making each politician who was responsible pay politically for the rest of his/her career.
