Here. I will give you a short and concise answer: No.

Sports are meant to be enjoyed by ALL.

I assume you mean women vs women, because there are clearly physical differences that naturally bar women from being competitive on a large scale.

I think there are real reasons. The first is that it's a clear drop off in skilled play. People can say the WNBA has that as well, but the WNBA has a different game. In the WNBA it's exciting to watcht the 3-pt matches and the old style passing. It's a valid skilled, but different competition.

In football, every position is too physical, without the 3-pt balance it's just less skilled players that can't hit hard, and then there's the whole point of not really enjoying seeing women get hit.

On top of all the reasons that I don't think it would ever be enjoyable to watch, women don't have any path to football. There aren't High school teams or college teams, that I know of so there's not even any way, other than tagging along with the men, for women to get showcased.

Hello XFactor,

In my opinion there is absolutely no reason why a woman can't or should not play football. I feel the same for a woman doing any kind of work she feels she is physically or menatlly capable of. The same applies to a man who wishes to pursue a career that used to be thought of as 'woman's' work.

In fact the England Womens Football Team are in China now preparing for their Soccer World Cup games. Their first match is against Japan in Shanghai on 11 Sep 07.

They also have to play two of our old rivals, Germany and Argentina in the same Group.

No, although for a range of reasons the women's game is currently slower and less physical than the men's

Obviously, there are physiological differences that make certain aspects of control more difficult/different, but in general there's no reason why they can't be as good as men - although whether the game will ever be a) mixed or b) have equal standing between men and women is a moot question

It's considered more of a male sport. This is sexist but back in the day it was.

Most women now-a-day still believe it to be infeminine to play sports like football or they just don't have the time.
