Mexicans Everywhere?

Am I blind or do I plainly see illegal Mexicans everywhere in the USA? As I walk the streets of NYC, I can easily see Mexican druck drivers, Mexican construction workers, Mexicans in almost every field of life. Illegal Mexicans are treated far better than African Americans who are born here and thus have legal status. I see a great contradiction in this land of the free and home of the brave.

Why are illegals being treated better than certain AMERICAN BORN people who are not white?

By the way, I am not black. I am dominican ( a legal hispanic in the USA) who cannot stand what America is slowly becoming.

I agree totaly with you. Illegals get everything handed to them while hard working AMERICAN epople get screwed. I have a friend that works full time as a loan officer in a bank. She is single and has one daughter. She need help with medical and daycare, she is a tax payer and a productive memeber of the country, not to mention AN AMERICAN!!
The government told her that she makes $27 dollars too much each month to qualify for ANY type of assistance. So, she now pays $289 per month for medical and $675 per month in daycare. But if and illegal needed medical or help with their children the state would cut them a check, help them with housing and food stamps and help them to pay their power & phone bills and enerything else. And guess what!! The illegals work for cash under the table and pay no taxes!!!! And my friend who has a job, pays taxes, votes get NOTHING!!!!

I say send all the illegals back to the country they came form!!!!

it pisses me of to see that Illegal Mexican are flying their flags, and want to change this in the USA to be like Mexico!! If MExico was so great, then why in the hell did they leave!!!! If you want to fly an Mexican Flag, then move to MEXICO and get the hell out of my country!

Whats your problem with Mexicans they have every right to be here as you do after all as you say this is the 'land of the free' and where do you get this notion that African American people are being treated worse that Mexican people, and Mexicans in NYC?, are you sure they're not of other nationalities, Mexicans don't need to travel 3000 miles from where they're originally from to make a life, and furthermore do you have proof that these 'Mexicans' are indeed illegal, I bet people could look at you and say the same thing, and what contradiction they're working and a lot of other Americans aren't, so if they indeed are being treated better maybe its because they're contributing to a country that doesn't want them here, which is more than I can say for unemployed legal Americans, maybe you should concern yourself with your own illegal Dominican peoples, I'm sure theres no shortage of them either...

Basically, they are hard working people and work for less money. So, they get better treatment, but are still at times mistreated.
Get real...The Spanish were the first Europeans to come to the New World. Spanish was the first European language spoken here. Colombus was supposedly Italian, but he came under the Spanish flag and speaking spanish when he got here :) Spain dominated the New World for longer thsn the USA has existed, and the whole southwest and Florida has been colonized by Spain and then Mexico. So, you have alot of Mexicans here historically anyway and they will keep coming. Dominican Republican was also dominated by Spain. This is why you are hispanic.

O.k o.k., I have seen both sides here. We all have an opinion here but what really is the fact. It's true the mexicans that are here without legal rights,should be given the boot and returned back, but at the expense of who? The immigrant? I doubt it.
2) it's true that unless you ID all of em, who knows who is legal and who is not. What do you suggest? Send em all back across the border and let em in one by one? 13 million of em, one by one? I doubt it.
3) it's also true that the problem is not just mexicans, it's a mix of every country in the world (almost) but we tend to overlook the canadians that are here illegally, why? because the are white and blend in with the rest of us? I don't doubt that.
4)true again, if you are unemployed and can't find work because a "mexican" is doing the work, you are the fault, not him. To say that they are unskilled at what they are doing, what do you really think, that mexico does not have carpenters, plumbers, or electricians? think again.

My question, who is at fault for the immigration problem, we are. If our country was not so full of itself and got down off it's high horse, make the workforce more competitive, i'm sure the "mexicans" would have a harder time finding employment.
If I owned a welding company and needed laborers, who would benifit me more an american who whines cause he ain't making union scale of $45 to $55 an hour or someone who knows the craft, wants to work, and is willing to do it for less hourly, you figure it out.

If you want them to go away, don't hire them, don't give them reason to be here and most of all don't eat at their restaurants, yeah right.

I too agree there are alot of issues with immigration, but I do not see how illegals are treated better than American Born citizens........ I don't see how Mexicans are treated better than others. What I do see is that NYC is a haven for illegals, but I am not going to single out Mexicans, b/c there are alot of other races here in NYC that have illegals amongst them, such as Dominicans. NYC does provide certain human services, but that is available to both legal and illegal immigrants. I am just surprised that you have such contempt against Mexicans......

It's not just blacks, I work in construction, or at least I did, I haven't been able to find a full time job in three years, but I see Spanish or whatever, weather legal or illegal doing everything in construction, landscaping and many other fields, and I know many other construction people who've been laied off and replaced with these people who have no training in these fields, like electrical, plumbing, hvac, etc.. Remember that when you call someone to do some work on your house, these people have no training they were just hired off the street. It's a disgrace.

I know that there are a million or so illegal mexicans here, but it is not fair to assume that each and every one you see is indeed illegal. There is a huge impact on the legal mexicans in america because if the illegal mexican problem. My husband and I immigrated him the right way lived apart spent the money and waited, he has to bend over backward on a daily basis to prove his right to be here and is always accused of having fake documents.

Certain American-born people probably shouldn't be treated better. There a nasty people in every race no matter where you are so why are you picking on the people from Mexico. You are generalizing & that, is usually a very bad idea.

Yes, they are everywhere, and I mean not a sprinkling, but in droves. I don't know what the US of A's legal quota is, but it can't possibly be as many as are in my area. They all speak their native tongue. Yes, they are not holding the lower paying jobs, but are in unions receiving union wages. I do not understand why ALL legal citizens are not banning together to make this country what it used to be. We need the illegals gone.
