You will not get answers for such question on these websites. This is a very serious subject. You are asking the living beings to reply about an event they have not yet undergone. If they undergo they will not be available to answer.
One has to know the answer either by reading scriptures or listening to Guru in whom one has full faith. If there is no faith the problem is you will not believe.
You please read Ramana Maharshi . He underwent a similar experience when he was young. His soul came out of the body for sometime and reentered the body again.
you will understand what is death and what happens afterwards.
Next you please read Katha Upanishad, wherein Nachiketa goes to Lord Yama and obtains knowledge on what happens to a person after his death. Where he goes or what happens to his soul.
With mere one reading one can not understand. One has to constantly think and observe the happening of events around and then feel the whole process.

1.When the world is satopradhan everyone is happy so actions are neutral. When the world becomes rajo, tamo, tamopradhan then actions divide in charitable and sinful (that is actions that bring peace & happiness and actions who bring peacelesness & sorrow ).
If there is only good karma then only peace and happiness is experienced.
When there are both types of karma, but the account of charity is bigger then happiness is experienced to that extent.
When the account of sinful actions is bigger, one experiences sorrow - and in this way one clears the accounts of sorrow. By performing charity one clears the accounts of sorrow in a more elevated way (and here there are specific types of charity that clear specific types of sinful actions).
If someone has not cleared the karmic accounts of sorrow while alive that one will have to finish it in the next life.
Now, there is a cosmic cicle in which souls take an accurate number of lifes. If this cycle is at the end and one has still not finished his karmic accounts of sorrow then at the time of leaving the body and before returning to the soul world with God, he will have to experience the sorrow that is left (they call this ''clearing karma in front of Dharamraj''). The consequence of stopping in front of Dharamraj is that the soul is unable to come close to God in the soul world and when he takes birth again on earth he will not experience maximum of peace and happiness that there can be.
In conclusion - the bigger the account of sin the more sorrown in this life. If you did not finish it now it will continue in your next life. If you don't finish it by the end you will remain always far from God and peace & happiness.
2.There deffinitely is a God. He is the most elevated soul (spirit) of all. It is because He has done a great charity for all souls that He is remembered. If i told you one can take full benefit from God to change one's life from sorrowful into peaceful and if i told you that I and many others have already seen and taken benefit from God - would you believe it? And if yes, what would you do?

Soul is the carrier of the body. Body changes in every birth. But soul carries along samskaras in seed form of all the previous births. Samskaras r Good and bad strong impressions on the subtle body created during lifetimes with bodies.
These samskaras sprout and bring sweet or bitter fruits during life. Samskaras of Good deeds bring good fruits, whereas samskaras of evil deeds bring bitter fruits. Good fruits result in fortune and bitter in miseries.
When Soul leaves body, during transition, it remains around like fragrance in air.
Which samskara would sprout when is a mystery.
Sometimes when u come across a new person and have strong affinity towards him(her). He or she is from previous lineage.
God is both existing and non existing. Its difficult to explain but true.
All these could be experienced through sincere efforts in that direction. Meditation practises, Selfless service and chanting praises of God in Group r its tools.
Experiencing it through words is not possible.
With Love

Yes there is life after death
When we live, there are 3 bodies we posses.
1. Sthoola Shareeram - Physical Body
2. Sookshma Shareeram - Spiritual Body
3. Kaarana Shareeram - Causal Body
When you die out of the above, 1st Physical Body and 3rd one Causal Body dies.
Spiritual body contains 5 components
1. Heart [Spiritual Heart]
2. Buddhi [Intellect / RAM]
3. Chittam [Data Storage / Memory / Hardisk]
4. Ahankar [That which executes the commands of Buddhi]
5. Gnyan [Wisdom and Knowledge]
Out of the above Budhi leaves out the Collected information in the memory. But it carries its intelligence.

We have a right to know what happens after death. For some of us it is exciting or horror or suspence or relief depending on one's view point.
To know the exact facts based on truth then read Bhagavad Gita as it is from Iskcon Temple.
This is not just a religious book as one thinks for Hinduism. This is a book which tells the facts after death and how to prepare oneself for next birth or liberation.
There are many books from Iskcon Temple. I had earlier also referred to Iskcon Temple books because these books are written by people who had translated the works of vedas, scriptures as their meaning comes to be instead of adding their views as seen in other books.
There are books on reincarnations etc.
There are many books on life, daily lives etc.
Most important Shree Krishna himself said to Arjuna about the existence, life and death roles etc .

Doubt is a weapon of Satan (evils). Your Veda gives sensible reasoning to do good deeds and get reward (booty) in hereafter (sorag, paradise).
Accordingly the sins are accountable!
2/3rd population of world believe it as their faith (Muslims, Christians and Jews).
The approval of masses is always correct!
