After you've completed your hours for the day, whatever they may be. Your contract tells you how many hours you are required to work.

You are entitled to leave at 4:30pm or 5pm. If you take an hour lunch it will be 5pm. Depends on what state you live in as well. If you have to work overtime the must give you another meal break. Like if your working more than 12 hours. If under 12 hours they need to give you another 15 minute break. Usually most company's don't like to give their employees overtime due to the budget. If you are on salary, I guess that goes along with the territory and your contract. I would look up your labor board in your home state on the Internet, or call your local labor board. Good Luck to you.

If you work an 8 hour day then 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break or 4pm if you don't eat or eat at your desk while working.

This may vary depending if your exempt or non-exempt. There are some situations for salaried (exempt) that may "require" you to stay later, however, you should be compensated for anything over 2 hours per day, by receiving time off etc.

Any time you want if it's your own show. If you're working for "The Man" then whatever deal you or your union made you have to honour. You don't have entitlement under those circumstances beyond whatever labour laws or negotiated contract are in place to protect you. Work sucks!

4:50 for full time employment in California in the private sector.

(1/2 hour lunch and 2 ten minute breaks.)

(if you got them to schedule your 2 breaks at the end of the day, you could leave at 4:30)

I think at most jobs in general with a one hour lunch, you would be entitled to leave at 5:00 PM.

But be fore-warned = "clock-watchers" never get ahead, and it is a very poor work habit to develop.

If you take lunch, 5 p.m. If you don't take lunch, 4 p.m. If you leave early, make it up the next day or two (or take PTO).

You wouldn't like my answer, because I work 12 hour days.

whenever your shift is over.. technically I don't think companies are supposed to be allowed to force you to work over 8 hours without paying you overtime, but I don't know if that's set in stone..
