My room is fairly big and I have pale lilac walls, silver ikea wardrobes that cover one wall and light wooden floor. I want to get purple curtains but i cant find any good ones and have searched many websites. Can anyone recomend any sites for the uk? I wouldn't mind lilac curtains or white featuring purple/lilac.

x.jaydiieh.x is correct. Curtains are easy peasy to make and if you do it yourself they'll be made to measure and a darn sight cheaper than buying them. Your room sounds nice. Pink cushions would be a good highlight....you could make them as well.

Mason: As he is academic, he might want a room without clutter, so I suggest lots of storage for things for him to store in. Decoration wise, it depends on what colours he likes, but for now don't give him too much of a "vision-noisy" environment (example, loads of colours). Something not too fussy, like a nice light blue or a cream. As he is the oldest, it would be wise to give him a good amount of space, nothing too small if you can help it. He needs room to think! :) Louis: As he is a busy person, it is best to use a "vision-noisy" approach. He needs something to stimulate his mind as he is active inside and out! However, don't go too over the top. I reckon he needs a couple of colours, and an accent colour to clash. (i.e. white and red, and blue to pull everything together). Storage will also be needed for him as he will probably have lots of things to keep him busy! :P It would be good to give him a good space where he can hang around with his friends. A deep coloured carpet would be handy in case of spillage stains :D Oscar: From how you have described him, you could do whatever colour he wants his bedroom to be and just do that. He doesn't sound like too much of a hassle, and he is only 10 so he'd be delighted to have his own space. From how you have described him give him a lovely warm version of whatever colour he wants. This will be nice and calm for him. :) Hope I helped, good luck!! :)

Check out www.pozoworld.com for decorating ideas. You can look at other's ideas, or post an empty room's picture for other's suggestions.
You can search from product from yahoo shops from this site, and I would imagine that these shops ship anywhere including the UK.

John Lewis is a good place.
You can buy ready made curtains, or material and get someone to make them for you.
We buy most of our curtains from there!

Habitat.
If they don't have it, it's not worth putting up!
Other than that, buy some silk (try a Laura Ashley or an Indian Sari shop if theres one near you) and get your granny busy with the sewing machine.
