I don't know much about cars but I wanted to buy a DVD screen for the front of my car, I found one on eBay in a car http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Celica-ST2-0-Modified-Car-Audio-DVD-Screen-Subs-Focal_W0QQitemZ220142751349QQihZ012QQcategoryZ18290QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It is the 3rd picture down on the left if you scroll to the bottom of the page.
I just wondered if anyone knew what they are called ?
My friend said he thought they were called DVD Head Units as it says on the description on eBay, but when I type it in it doesn't have the ones where the screen flips out ( Which is what I want so people can't see I have one! )
Sorry about the simple car jargon words.
I will choose a best answer. Thanks.

Leecavcu - Boy racers mainly have them in their cars, if you go to a car show or something like that you notice 9/10 boy racer cars have them.
Also, just to clear this up - It won't be me watching the film! It will be my passengers, I won't be putting myself or them in any danger and headphones will be in it so it doesn't distract me - I will pull up at a service station to change the movie.

It is a dvd head unit. But the one you are looking for is called and IN DASH or fold out unit. There are many out there, both cheap and xpensive... And dont worry about the punkz above, you can have the screen switch off when you drive over a certain speed. So yeah go looking for an in dash dvd player,

It's a DVD head unit. Try all of the big car stereo brand websites like Alpine, JVC, Pioneer, etc. Or try googling "flip out dvd head unit".

What do boy racers have to do with DVD players? Real race cars shouldn't even have radios...

Excuse me while I change the movie take my eyes off the road and crash my car. Screens that allow driver viewing while the car is moving are illegal most places. But I have seen as many as 6 screens in Excalade Sport Utility's. Sunvisor tv's head rest tv's drop down high def tv and in dash player too.
