why cant atheist's just live their Godless lives and leave the Christians to live their lives without slamming them for believing in God.

i know i know some Christians put up comments and questions about believeing in the Lord, but not to the extent of Atheist...

Athough I've seen plenty of bashing on both sides, I have found that the few fundimentalist Christians do not tend to be nearly as insulting and offensive as the "athiests".
While the "fundies" tend to direct thier comments at individuals on R&S, the "athiests" seem to generalize. They tend to be purposefully and personally insulting and offensive. While, for example, you may not believe in God, that is no reason to refer to God as "your invisble sky daddy" or other insulting terms. I've seen all kinds of questions that are directly trying to annoy or insult and ridicule Christians. "Was Jesus gay because he hung around with all men?".
If want to tell me I'm wasting my time by worshipping a God that doesn't exist, fine. You can point out examples in the bible that you find contradictory. Fine. I can live with that.
It's sad but unfortunate, Christian bashing is the last acceptable form of prejudice in our society.

YES,
I would prefer that each and every person on this site were positive toward others but that is asking too much. I am a Christian and I would also like for EVERYONE to be positive toward others. Please do not slam non-Christians as you have done. This will not help to calm them. It only inflames those who already have anger issues. Have a wonderful day.

True Christians have the Holy Spirit dwelling within them, leading them to be kind and compassionate to everyone. Being rude to unbelievers is not going to encourage them to seek the truth about God and his love. Christians are to show God to the world by the way they live. Anyone who lashes out at athiests needs to examine their life and their walk with the Lord.

I think hatred can go both ways. Christians can be hateful and so can atheists.
Christians(hateful)-bc anybody who thinks differently than them is stupid, wrong and everything else
Atheist think that the world is out to get them, If you even mention something about spirituality in front of them, they want to clown you.
So dont just blame christians, non-christians can be like that to.

Then you aren't looking. I have seen plenty of self-proclaimed Christians post questions such as "Do you know Atheists will burn in hell for eternity?" No, all sides do this... no single side does it more than another. I suggest that if you don't like that sort of thing, then avoid their questions all together.

It is you lot that won't accept people as they are.

Can you handle the fact that their are homosexuals in the world.
Can you handle the fact people don't believe in your God?

i am neither believing in god nor not believing in god. i think our main problem is the word "god", some will have in mind what 'god' is or is not, i think we need to get it clear first, can you be specific? i am not sure if you understand what i mean?
