I think it's even better than they make it out to be. From the minute you get off the plane it is amazing. Crossing over the bridge to get into the city, you see the skyscrapers. All you do in the city is look up, it makes fellow new yorkers mad but you have to do it at least once. Walking down any block in Manhattan you just get a sense of importance. It truly is the most amazing city in the world. So many different people, so many different sights and smells. No block is the same. When you leavr the hectic streets of Broadway and Times Square and travel down to the lower east side and the village. Stand where Bob Dylan used to walk and the Mamas and the Papas wrote songs. There is so much history in Manhattan. There is so much to do. Some much to see. Some of the greatest art is displayed in one of our many museums. Some ofthe best restaurants you will ever eat at are here too! We have it all!!

New York City is the capital of the world. It is the melting pot where you can experience different cultures at one time. Times Square, the crossroads of the world, is home to the Great White Way, aka Broadway, and is the home of the Broadway shows such as Chicago, Rent, Lion King, Mary Poppins and soon Hair and Young Frankenstein. You can find Toys R Us, where there are 3 floors of toys and candy, a mechanical dinosaur and a indoor ferris wheel. And don't be afraid to ask for directions if you get lost; NYers are helpful and will give you directions and help get around.
You want breathtaking pictures? Go on top of the Empire State Building (on 34th st)or the Top of the Rock (at Rockefellar center) during the day and at night. Its amazing.
And of course, you have Central Park, Grand Central Station, the Chrysler building, Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, the Brooklyn Bridge, etc....I could go on and on.
Enjoy your trip to this city.
