I'm desperately trying to lose the 20 lbs. that I've packed on after my hysterectomy. I gave up soft drinks and beer, started exercising although I never sit down because I have 4 small children that keep me busy with school, soccer and dance. I also work on call. The only thing left to give up is my morning coffee. I drink decaf with International Delight fat free french vanilla. Is this okay or should I be using sugar free or should I be ditching the coffee creamer all together.? The only habit I have picked up since my hysterectomy was cappuccino which I finally gave up. I use to drink 2-3 straight cappacino's a day and then I started adding coffee to them until I'm now on 3/4 coffee, 1/4 cappuccino but most of the time I make coffee at home and use the creamer.

Neither are good!

The amount of unnatural stuff they put in them to make them free of anything is going to hurt you more than do good.

My advice for weight loss would be to get heatlhy.
Vegetables and fruits are soooooo good!
I've got myself addicted to them, and in 4 weeks I've lost about 15 pounds.

I go with none, as I think they're not healthy at all. My husband buys the Hills Bros. French vanilla fat free cappuccino mix. With it, he mixes in fat free French vanilla creamer. There is stuff in both items that I wouldn't consume, at least not normally. (Although I have come close to adding some of the mix to some very bitter old coffee. I save the cofee packets from hotels and use them when I'm out. Until my pregnancy, though, I never used the decaf and some of them didn't have a good taste, from being very old.)

I drink regular coffee. Black. Usually. Occasionaly, I've added some chocolate soy milk which has been good and I've read that adding cinnamon and vanilla or other spices to the coffee in the filter is good, too. (I've tried the cinnamon and vanilla in the coffee after it's been made and poured and wound up iwth a gloppy mess in the bottom.)

Anyway, I hope this helps.

I have a thought... Try it and see if you like it... I LOVED my International Delight French Vanilla (not chocolate, not irish cream, not hazelnut... It was ALL french vanilla)... Well, I went on this 'lifestyle change' 2 and 1/2 months ago... I gave up my morning coffees to avoid the fat and sugar in my creamer... Tried somethings... Didn't like them... Now...

I tried soy milk in vanilla flavor... There is no sugar added at all so I put an extra packet of Splenda in my coffee... It has a slightly different taste that I have come to prefer actually.

If it's either or, fat free. It really increases your cholesterol level in amounts greater than sugar. If you want to lose weight, discipline your eating habits ands go zero with both.
