Probably, but couldn't know for sure until I am facing the situation. Still what I say and what I believe could two different things. No one can force you to change your thoughts.

I think it is easy for everybody to be a hero when they are asked a theoretical question like this, but it is not up to us to judge those who actually were in that situation and were unable to do what they felt was right because their fear was too strong. Luckily for us and them, God has a much greater understanding and capacity for forgiveness of human frailty than most people do. My guess is that I would try to find words to say which would satisfy my torturers, but which could be also interpreted in a way which would be true to my beliefs. But who knows if I would be clever and brave enough in the real situation? Only God can know...

I like to think I would never do such a thing. My own life, I don't think I ever would. But the real question for me is, what if it was someone I loved? I don't know about that one.

I can't be sure what I'd do in either situation, I suppose because that sort of thing has never happened to me.

No, God is life. So even if I was killed as a result of refusing to believe in him I would live again. If I denied him I would cease to exist at my death.

No. My life depends on God, to deny my faith and to deny my belief in God would cost me my life.

My life is God...so to deny God would be to deny my life anyway...and in so doing, I would end up dead (spiritually, emotionally) anyway!

I would so love to see this really put to the test. Guarantee you all bail, just like Peter did.

Jesus said if you are ashamed of Me, then you will not be able to enter the kingdom of Heaven (paraphrased). I sincerely hope that wouldn't.
