I want to dye my hair.
I have for at least a year so I know this is not just a phase.
But the thing is I don't think my parent's will be too pleased.
I haven't actually asked but I think I know the answer anyway. The color I have chose is different from my natural color by not very much but I love the color and it is probably one of the closest shades where you would notice it wasn't the same color I had yesterday for example if that makes sense, in other words it's not too drastic, similar to my natural. Anyway, I am dying my hair so any excuses why for my parents? It is going a little darker if that helps and I do often tie my hair up (for school) before it has a chance to dry so I could use that as a cover-up thing.

Please help. =)

Remember first your a girl, and you want your hair to look good, so just do it girl what is the worse thing can they do once you have done it ? Nothing, you will have to make all of your own decisions one day. If it turns out bad you only have yourself to blame. Just coloring your hair isn't as bad as telling them your pregnant or joined a religious cult. Just do it !!

You should ask them. Or you can dye your hair with paint that will wash off. If they don't notice the difference then you can dye your hair with paint that will stay on.
Maybe you should start with paint that is similar to your shade of hair. It will be easier because if it is very different then you might not like it and when your hair will grow you will be able to see the roots.
Start with shades that are similar to your hair color. Remember to use really good paint because it is better for your hair and do it in a hair sallon! Good luck ;)

Wait until the weather cools off, so you can leave the house in hats, or just get one of the color deposite shampoos, that gradually change your haircolor. Or just dye it, and hope they dont notice, and if they do then what can they do about it, its already dyed, and you could say you didn't know it was a big deal.

I am a parent, lol i can hear my own son thinking I'm stupid and wont notice his hair. Very glad his emo stage is over, It completely drove us nuts , but if your determined to do this you should talk to them first an make sure this is your money doing it not theirs. Plus if its just a preference thing and not a group thing at your school like the black hair in your eyes poor me I think I'll cry people then it shouldn't be to bad.

Im not sure if this work but this is what i would do:
Every day, dye your hair a tiny bit lighter (hardly noticeable) until the day its how you want it to be.

go ahead dye ur hair!! and wait till ur parents notice it. you could tell ur parents that u got the wrong shampoo, instead u had taken a washable one or one wash dye, or shampoo dye from the grocery or wherever so it made ur hair color change..
hope this helps...goodluck!!

you could tie it up or use hats the first days, so your parents won't notice the difference immediately, and the might get used to the new color without noticing it is different than before...

they are going to notice. You can't keep stuff like that from most parents. (I pierced my own ears when I was sixteen, and tried to keep it from my Dad, because he forbid it, and then my ear got infected, and they thought I had the mumps, and I finally had to tell him. ) Anyway, if you do it, you should really get someone that knows what they're doing.
