pay accrues from the day you report to Basic training/Boot Camp. base pay will be based on your entering paygrade. Pay takes anywhere from 4-8 weeks to hit though, with Navy generally taking the longest. so for all practical purposes, you won't get paid while IN BT/BC but you will be paid for it.

Depends on what rank you are when you enlist. My husband is in the Active Duty Army and he just finished AIT. During basic he got paid every 2 weeks. You have the option of getting paid every 2 weeks or getting paid once a month.

If you are:

an E- 1 the basic pay is 1,301.40
an E - 2 the basic pay is 1,458.90
an E - 3 the basic pay is 1,534.20
an E - 4 the basic pay is 1,699.50
an E - 5 the basic pay is 1, 854.00

(If you get paid twice a month...that amount of money is divided by 2 and you get paid half on the first of the month and the remainding half on the 15th of the month..but you have to include the deductions of taxes and all that)

2007 Military pay chart:

You get paid using direct deposit into your account. You can elect to get paid either 1 or 2 times a month. If you elect bi-monthly pay, your deposits will come on or about the 1st and 15th of each month with the total amount divided in half. For example, if your pay is 1500 a month, you will receive 750 each time (not counting tax)

E-1 1203.90 Monthly After 4 months 1301.40
E-2 1458.90
E-3 1534.20
E-4 1699.50

if you want to know money questions, google search for military pay rates. what ever you would enter the service as (E1, E2, E3) will be listed there, thats how much you would make in a month.
