you really should have done your research long before now!!!
You need to keep taking her temperature everyday, i think about 97 is the norm when they are about to give birth
( but im not 100% on that ).
She will become quite restless, panting and rearranging the whelping box
You need to keep checking her as well for movement, see if you can feel the pups moving around.
You really should try to be there when the actual birth happens, in case anything goes wrong such as her need a c-section.
If everything goes well she will be licking her pups clean ( but not obsessively), trying to keep them warm, but be careful as they can overheat very easily

Dogs do NOT kill pups for the fun of it, theres either an underlying problem with the pup, or the mums just not taking to them as well as she should
just make sure your there to keep an eye of everything
Hope the birth goes well!

Personaly 10 days seems an incredibly long time to allow a bi*ch to go over I would be back at the vets asap! As for the stupid child who said Bull Terriers kill people. Why bother to read and answer dog questions when you obviously no nothing about them? Check your facts and don't believe everything the media have to say. There are a lot of dogs including Bull Terriers who do a lot of good work!

Only one way to know: get your dog scanned to know the approximate pregnancy stage and check the puppies health.

As for any abnormal behaviour from the mum, it is possible with any breed and you'll just have to keep a close eye and be ready to have to hand feed the pups if necessary.

For the post above, English Bull Dogs do require ceasarean sections most of the time, however Bull Terriers are usually fine.

Good luck with everything

Are you quite sure about the date she mated? I'm surprised your vet would allow her to go 10 days overdue. Perhaps you ought to get a second opinion.
As for killing her pups, that is not natural at all. Either the mothers were disturbed, perhaps by young children handling the new puppies or something similar. When your dog finally whelps, please make sure she has a quiet place all of her own where she is not allowed to be disturbed. Hope all goes well. Good luck to you and the puppies.

just like to say what a stupid comment you ignorant person......STATED TO THE ONE THAT SAID NEVER BREED BULL TERRIERS!!.......if only they wasnt so soppy daft they might have killed you!!!

it is the owner of a dog that should be put down not the dog....a dog is taught violent behaviour from there owners!!!

get ur facts right you silly lillte girl!

hope all goes well with the birth, you need to be there really , your vet doesnt see much cop cus they should have been able to tell you the exact birth date and they dont normally let dogs go over....I would speak to a few bull terrier breeders if you can.

Are you also aware that most bulldogs are delivered c-section due to their large heads?

Personally I'd never let a dog go more than a day or two over 65 days without have her checked out by a vet. You could be putting both mom and pups as at risk.

*I read the breed wrong.
