Do we use the crimes of the others as a stick to beat the other side with?

If I wanted I say all Israelis are murders, haters etc... There is enough evidence of crimes by the Israeli state.

Also if I wanted I could say all Palestinians are murders, haters too. There is enough evidence of crimes by the Palestinian state.

But why do we judge all members of one group by the actions of a few?

Why do we allow the voice of the haters to be strongest????
When there are many who want peace. What good does concentrating on hate do??? It only causes more hate? It is easy to blame the other for their actions.. but not ourselfs.
Shouldn't we be concentrating on peace to build a peaceful future?

I'm not criticizing Israelis or Palestinians. I know that they live in hard times.. I'm just trying to promote peace. And just if we concentrate on hate.. it just breeds itself.

There are many good Israelis and Palastinians. They should be more rewarded.

That is a good question - the answer is not as easy to answer because if it was so easy to answer wouldn't we need only one group for peace and not the long list you gave? Human beings are difficult to understand sometimes.

Good Luck!!!

If you'll follow the bread crumbs it's plain to see that the people causing problems are the ones full of greed. When someone feels that they should be more advantaged or privilaged than another person they cause an imbalance which upsets and depresses everyone around them.

Although I am characterizing a single person you should stop and think about the chain effect that this has on a massive population (for example the world....). Some of the actions taken by those consumed by greed hurt everyone, in turn that pain causes anguish, anguish easily leads to some form of bitterness that just continues to branch off into a seemingly never ending tree of....well negativity I suppose.

Now, to be more specific with your question since you have now seen a glimpse of the mindset that I'm looking at this with: Some people will judge an entire group of others just because it's easy to...although that sounds ridiculous it's really not. After living in the U.S. IN the midwest I've come to notice how easy it really is to pursuade someones opinion here. All you have to do is grab your generic joe blow here and put him with a large enough crowd and sure enough! He's right there joining in on whatever they have to say/think. I am firm enough in this thought to even go so far as to say that given the opportunity our little Joe Blow character would even KILL someone without even knowing why he's doing so (another example comes to mind.....oh what is that....uhmmmmm MILITARY!).

Anywho, if you're looking for a solution to this problem the obvious answer (to me atleast) is to solve the problem of Greed which I will not divulge into here since most likely I've caught the interest of about 2 readers that will actually take the time to read such a lengthy post since most of todays browsers have an attention span of about 6 seconds....

Obviously this is a very complex issue and impossible for anyone to resolve - in the real world, let alone on Yahoo!

One point I would make: it is fact that in most if not all Muslim countries, you will find the most hate-filled anti Jewish and anti Christian material. I have seen it and it is horrible - some of it borrows directly from Nazi propoganda.

The Palestinians also read and distribute this material. Witness the recent programmes on Palestinian TV which teach children as young as four and five to hate Jews. You will never, ever see anything like this on Israeli TV - it simply doesn't happen.

Only last week, Hezbollah released a new video game teaching children as young as three how to 'perfect' suicide bombings and rocket attacks on Israeli towns.

I'm not saying that Israel is perfect, but for peace to occur, the Palestinians must reject this type of behaviour and they MUST recognize the right of Israel to exist.

Unless and until the Palestinians will do this, there can be no peace, no matter how desperately decent Israelis and Muslims on both side desire it.

EDIT - IVRI ANOCHI: your points are spot on. I have no idea why another answerer has reported you because not one word that you said was impolite, nor untrue. You have just reported facts and the first part of your answer was a direct quote by a Muslim! So ignore the moron that has reported you - your answers are great and this one is especially good!

Israeli school history books never mentioned what really happened to the Palestinian people who were living in Palestine. The Israeli kids are not thought that the Palestinian people were forced out of their homes by Zionist terror groups. When the Israeli Zionist institutions admit that what they did to the native people of Palestine was a crime against humanity there and only there peace and coexistence can be achieved. So far Israelis ignore that they did anything wrong to the Palestinian people. To me the only state in the world which yet to admit its wrong doing to native people is the state of Israel.

The world is a pretty stuffed up place. What are you doing about it...stuff all.

Gandhi said, "Be the change you want to see in the world"

Go out, do some good. Forgive your enemies. Help those you have done your wrong. Lend money to people with bad credit records.

Go on. I dare you.

I try to live every day according to my values. I speak up against hatred when it is spoken. I get to know more about people who are against me.

But personally, I stand up against people who attack me, and could cause me a great deal of problems (as opposed to just being annoying).

I am no better than the Israelies and Palenstinians...I wonder if you are a better person than me.

When I am a better person than now, I am off to fix there problem. Until that time, I can't criticize them too much.

Some people have been brainwashed for too many years and are not blessed with the gift from GOD to see the truth. As in the above reply. god willing the youth of Israel/palestine will keep meeting in the summer camps that are set up around the world. And keep spreading the word of peace to the older generation and make changes.

I don't know why.. except that some people prefer things in black and white so to speak. The hate-mongers are, in my opinion, mentally ill. There are so many of us on this tiny, fragile planet. If we don't get it together soon, we'll be long goen through wars, pestilence and an enviorment that can no longer support us.

Yours is a very intelligent point of view and many people should think like yourself about this. Too bad that there's real hatred between these two cultures, of course, it doesn't apply to all Hebrews and Arabs, but it's still pretty strong as to keep us pitying so many acts of violence that occur almost everyday in the Middle East.

I hope a lot of people read your question and change their point of view about these halves in conflict and end prejudice once and for all.

I wonder where "the Palestinian state" is located.

The asker refers to such a place, but I cannot locate it on my globe.

As far as I know, the only place in the world called Palestine today is in Texas.

Mark here would like to rewrite history to whitewash the Arab terror that is bent on destroying Israel. We are not that unlearned, Mark.

Thanks for information, I did'nt know there were so many peace organizations jointly formed by Israelis and Arabs.
