You would kill your pet deer with a hammer? Shame, shame... If you've made it a pet then don't betray its trust. If all the deer there are that friendly, taking food out of people's hand, then protect them for goodness sakes; or stop feeding them so you can hunt the next generation of deer.

You probably ought to call your DNR, it sounds as if you may have a case of CWD it's a disease hitting many deer populations. it has a similar action to the "Mad Cow disease"..
CNS material contains the CWD mechanism, it is not known to spread to humans. But infected animals should be put down.

Well that would be very manly now wouldnt it.
People obviously have fed this deer, it is not retarded. If it was truly born with a mental defect then it wouldnt have made it very long.
