It would depend when they said it, I mean if it was in the heat of an argument you could assume it was just said out of anger and probably not meant but if there were no circumstances out of the ordinary surrounding the comment I think I would be hurt and have to re evaluate the relationship, none of us wish to be pitied.

If my guy told me that he pitied me I would be crushed. When you love someone, you never want to say or do something that would hurt them. When you start to say mean or careless things in a relationship it's obvious that they don't respect you. Maybe she feels superior to you and by critizing you, it makes her feel better about herself. Regardless, shes seems like a mean-spirited person who thinks only of herself. If this happened to me, I would walk and not be sorry. If someone talks to you like this, count your blessings that you had enough nerve to move on! Look at it this way: you have one less ***** to deal with! LOL

it wouldn't be no feelings his or her a-s-s would've been kicked to da curb!!! if u mean in a joking way then okay...but if u mean the other way...then yeah!!! how long were u in the relationship? i'm guessing a while....if u told ur partner that u pittied her or him...what do u think they would've done!!! well it depends on your personality!!!! sum might beat they a-s-s-...or sum might just live wit it!!!

I wont know really.

On one hand, I would probably lap up the attention that a "sympathizing" bf would be.

But on the other hand, the ego screams out "LOUSY!"

Hurt, I would think. I would ask them what they meant by this. Our subsequent relations could be influenced by their answer.

pissed. I mean that means they only with you because they feel sorry for you. Then all she has done is waste your time and hers. That might be my pride talking tho
