In some respects. I agree.
To see people make satements that are completely un-supported by Bible scripture, and are obviously just parrot fashion repeating of what their so called religious teachers have taught them, makes one mad or sad.
One obnoxious statement made by RC priests at a child's funeral is that God wanted another angel in heaven.
This depicts God as cruel and selfish.
Why would a loving God take a child away from its parents?
He had all the angels he needs [ in heaven] long before Adam and Eve started the human family.
And their 'job' is being messengers.
Why would God want a child or even an infant for this?
Organised religion has a lot to answer for..
That is why it is called " Babylon the Great", the mother of the harlots [ in Revelation] and people are warned;
(Revelation 18:4-5) And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, my people, if YOU do not want to share with her in her sins, and if YOU do not want to receive part of her plagues. 5 For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind.

I have been laughing (but maybe I should be crying) all morning at the questions and answers in the R&S section.

But seriously, I notice there is a serious lack of respect for others here. It's very disheartening.

What is religion for, if it's not for treating your fellow human being as you would wish to be treated yourself?

The atheists who do not believe, can still believe in the golden rule.

Aren't we all human beings whether or not, you believe or not you were created in the image of G-d or came from evolution?

Let's behave ourselves with dignity instead of offensive and foolish remarks.

Often, but I realise that many people who ask the same old stuff again are simply new here, or may not have been online the last time or whatever. Even if somebody is a regular, I still try to respect the question, because that person is asking it again for a reason. (S)he may deny the answers we gave the last time around, but is still looking for a satisfactory answer. Even the trolls are here for a reason, though I'll concede it really gets difficult to take them seriously sometimes.

No, because it's insulting (which I don't care all that much about) and will get you reported (which I do care about).

If I think a question is worth nothing more than a "blah, blah, blah..." I won't answer it. Unless I see one of my brethren answer it with something completely embarrassing to my faith, in which case I will correct their misrepresentation.
