Manual takes between 9.25 pints and 10.25 pints of GL-4 manual trans oil 80w /90w. Not rear end grease.. And automatic uses 10 quarts of Dextron auto trans fluid when it is completely empty. just pulling the plug or draining the trans still has 4 to 6 quarts in the torqur converter. Basic drain and fill uses approx 4 quarts. Start up warm upt trans shift between all the posistions on the shifter brake on and check thans fluid dip stick on level ground.

When the oil filter is changed and the pan is dropped, it takes 8 quarts to fill the transmission. Hope this helps. By the bye, when the add oil level is showing, it takes one-half quart to bring the level up to the correct reading, not one quart as stated by a previous answerer. Good luck.

Check the trans dip stick. There should be 2 markings one on top of the other. The first (bottom) marking is the add marking, usually 1 qt. (check your owners manual). The second (top) marking is the full line. DO NOT PASS this marking. The trans gasket will leak and you will have to fix it, which will cost you a lot of money.
