Spaying isn't an option so don't bother with that suggestion but other things such as herbal supplements, home remedies, anything....I'll try anything safe!

For those of you who think they know everything there is to know about felines and preach to others that there is no reason not to spay -- you are incorrect. I understand the frustration over population but please before you speak know your facts there are many health reasons not to spay your pet. I would appreciate any useful information about the actual question at hand. Thank You.

The only reasons spaying would not be an option would be if this was a pedigree cat registered for breeding or if it has a medical condition which means that administering an anaesthetic could be dangerous.

If the former is the case and she has been calling a great deal then the best option is to get her mated. You will need to find an appropriate registered stud, present your cats registration papers and pay a fee.

If it is the latter situation then your vet will give an injection of long-lasting contraceptive.

If neither of these apply then you have to get her spayed otherwise she is at risk of developing pyometra and polycystic ovaries. The risk to her life from these conditions is far greater than the risks of a spay.

Get a set of ear plugs.

Don't think you can fool "Mother Nature" at least not to my Knowledge.

When we first got our cat from the shelter we OOPS didn't make in time. However, we were lucky. She went downstairs to the basement and did her howling. Don't know way she chose the basement, but wasn't going to ask her either.

Just "luck of the draw" I guess.

Good Luck with your cat. It's been 25 years, so for all I know, may be their is something new.

I'd like to know why spaying isn't an option.

It really is your ONLY option.
