By ID'd, I mean "Intelligently Designed" ...

I got into a debate with someone whose proof that we were intelligently designed lay in the fact that our bodies were built to resist viruses, germs, etc.

Why then would said deity only give our bodies the ability to fend off some viruses but not all?

And why oh why would he/she/it/they create a virus that could destroy his/her/its/their creation?

well if we were truly desigened by some other power they could have let us be vunrable to certian viruses as a kind of punnishment for doing bad things but really i think we are just highly evolved forms of stuff and as everthing changes from the way our bodys work to the way viruses work its always changeing and who knows some day we might be able to resist all or some day not any who knows lol

Well the Christian god is meant to be incompetent so I think that would explain it.

ID is incompatible with Christian theology anyway.

Well it was sin. I dont think any one can answer why God created the world, knowing it would become sinfull. but it was sin, the punnishment. disease, work, pain, etc
