America stands with Israel because they are allies, share the same values (religious, democratic) and because the Jews have a moral right to live in their homeland.

Egypt gets nearly the same amount as Israel. 1.7 billion to the former, and 2.4 billion to the latter. You had a point somewhere, but it got lost in the facts you omitted from your little rant.

There are a lot of pro-Israel lobbyists in the US and the religious reich seems to think that the Jews will need to stay around to be killed later (rather than now) but there is also the fact that Israel is the only country in the middle east worth supporting.
