We make a real simple ice cream, using ziplock bags. My 4 year old grand daughter loves it.

You put 1 cup whole milk, 3 tablespoons sugar (or to taste) and a 1/4 teaspoon vanilla in a quart ziplock bag and seal it.

Then you place that ziplock (with the milk, etc) into a gallon ziplock bag. Fill the bag about 3/4 with ice and add a 1/4 cup of table salt on top of the ice.

Seal the bag and start kneeding the whole sheebang gently, until the milk mixture stiffens. You'll know its ready when it gets there, the mix will harden up.

The whole process will take about 15 - 20 min total. While kneeding make sure you've got something like gloves to wear, the bag will get very cold.

I browsed the internet for a recipe for you that does not require an icecream maker. Here it is :
§u§ana's Home Made Ice Cream Cake
Recipe #115499
This is a great recipe for children or adults alike--I make it often. I use peppermint crisp chocolate , malteser's are also good. I've also used fresh crushed raspberries for a Christmas dessert, but you can use whatever you like. Decorate according to the occasion

2 (600 ml) cartons cream
2 (400 g) cans sweetened condensed milk
250 g peppermint crisp candy bars (or confectionary of your choice)
contrasting food coloring

Line a square cake tin of desired size with plastic wrap.
Beat 1 carton of cream with 1 tin of condensed milk until the consistency of whipped cream.
Spread evenly into the tin and place in the freezer.
M,eanwhile beat the other carton of cream and condensed milk to the same consistency.
Add crushed peppermint crisps or desired confectionary.
Colour with food colouring until desired colour is reached.
Carefully spread over previous mix.
Press more plastic wrap gently onto top of mix (this stops it from going "icy").
Freeze over night until firm
To serve, remove from tin by turning up on desired serving dish, decorate as desired.

You can try freezing your liquid ingrediants for 1 hour at a time and then either scraping it with a fork or blending it with a mixer and returning it to the freezer until its frozen solid. You won't get the consistency you're looking for, but you'll end up with a nice frozen dessert.
