Are Cokin filters worth buying? I don't have a lot of money to get the best of the best. I hear they scratch easily, but I'm one who is very careful with equipment. Thanks for advice.

When I first started out doing photography about 18 years ago, Cokin filters were all I could afford and even then they weren't cheap.......I still have them and still use them.
They used to come in hard plastic individual cases (not sure about now) and mine have held up beautifully all these years...no scratches at all, which is amazing for me because I drag my cameras ands supplies EVERYWHERE I go!

Cokin filters should work just fine. They are good quality and work well for the money. I have used Cokin filters for years and have not had a problem since they always get returned to a case immediately after use.

You may eventually buy a high grade glass filter for those special type of images you want.

Dodol?

the great thing about cokins is you can change them fast and double them up easy, also they have a great range like 3x tabacco graduated etc etc.

If you are indeed careful with your gear then they are a great investment if you believe you will go further in the world of image making

check their site out

its always better optically than digitally,

It depends on the filter and yourself of course.

For me, a circular PL filter can be very handy and to some lesser degree, a UV filter because it can soften harsh light that is coming from the sun. But on other filter such as diffuser, color tint, star and such can be recreated on Photoshop.

You purchase one adaptor ring for every lens thread diameter dimension. Have a browse of the Cokin internet site [1] and notice if that is helping. If no longer, then please cite their reference numbers, and so on, for what package you have received in a comply with-up query.
