i was picking at this annoying white-head on my face and i accidentally peeled of some skin.
how can i prevent it from scarring?
i put honey on it so it can stay moist and heal quicker, i just wanted to know what i should use to help prevent it from scarring and to help it heal faster.

i know not to pick at acne but it was so annoying, it was a bump that had hardened oil in it, I didn't know i didnt know how to get it out so i picked it and then skin peeled, i think i only peeled like the first 2 or three layers of skin so i dont think it's that bad.

oh BTW can someone tell me how to remove those annoyin white heads without damaging my face??, I've tried blackhead clearing scrubs but all they do is dry up my face. =)

get away from black head creams if you have white heads you only wasting your money lol.. drink heaps of water and for the scaring buy an aloe vera plant its natural and split the leaf and dab on anything ... burns as well!! heals things real quick,, can be used on any part of you to heal cuts quick too....a natural cleaner is half an avacardo teaspoon of honey and coconut and use as a face scrub ,,,tried and true will soften and clense the face.. try it :-)

As long as you don't have blood acne (where, when you pop a whitehead, first pus comes out, then oil, then blood), you probably won't scar. I'd use something like Neosporin just in case though.

Scrubs may actually be worse for you. They're not recommended for people with active acne (according to my Cosmetology school textbook), as they can cause it to spread to other parts of the face.

If you *don't* have blood acne, you can buy a little thing called an extractor, which is a metal implement with a little loop at the end - apply a warm washcloth to the area first and allow the skin to soften, then press the extractor against the whitehead and use gentle pressure and some leverage to break it. The most important thing to remember, if something absolutely *must* be popped, is to use something that is clean, preferably sanitized with alchol or similar - no picking at it with dirty fingernails! That's how you get an infection.

BTW, you can get extractors just about anywhere - mine is from CVS and cost about $5 (they're in the area with the tweezers & other implements).

Scrub your face with a little bit of K-Y Jelly and a bunch of sugar. Yes, that's what I said.
First apply the K-Y jelly to your face, now put some of the jelly into a dish add some sugar & message your face with this mixture. It gets rid of the dead skin cells. Then rinse it off and apply a thin film of any non oil base cream. A cortizone cream is good & won't dry out your skin.
If you want to keep your skin from having wrinkles in your old age. I know thats way down the road, but the white of an egg on your face, let it dry, then wash it off. This puts protein back into your cells.

Continue using the neosporin, but when you go outside, even for only a little while, use very high numbered sunscreen, spf 30 or spf 45. And while you are sleeping I would put neosporin and a bandaid on it, that way nothing can irritate it while you are sleeping. I was hit by a saw last year, following these steps, I swear saved my face. Best of luck!!
