I just feel so hopeless and ashamed about my life. I am graduating with my B.A. in Chemistry in December. I wanted to graduate this summer but due to an error on a professor's part (delayed grades), I have to wait another semester. This mean I have no classes from Sept. to Dec. I don't know what to do for these 4 months! My parents are wondering what's up with me too.

My old dreams:
Medical school-no hope with a 2.6 GPA
Teaching-classes started this week and I have no diploma.
Pharmacy school (used to be my last choice)-cutoff is 3.0
Master's degree--can't find any program with less than 3.0 requirement.
Travel--Would love to, but first would like to finalize grad school or career plans before I leave the country.

What can I do in these four months that will show employers that I am a lot more competent than I appear on paper?

You can still go to med school.

Go to ValueMD.com (http://www.valuemd.com/index.php) and start researching all of the available Caribbean med schools.

Most of the schools have rolling admissions, so you can probably start in January.

You can retake some of the classes which you got Cs or below in. Some masters programs have minimum GPAs or 2.5. Look at the less selective ones.

Have you ever consider doing a post-bacc program to increase your GPA average? Then you can possibly get into pharmacy school.
