It the bible does say it is a sin to masturbate it says in
in Colossians 3:5-6 also Leviticus 15:1-3.
It also says it other places in the bible to. You won't go to
hell because hell doesn't exist. Hell is really the graveyard
when you die. It's another word for Sheol or Hades. Hell
is not a place of torture, fire, or torment. Satan the devil
and his demons don't live there either. There really here
on earth walking around. The reason why we can't see them
because they are spirits. But they do like to make homes
for them selves in other people(us humans) homes. The
bible explains about hell and how Satan and his demons
were cast down from heaven to earth not hell. This is in
Revelation 12:7-9,12. You can find Hell in Acts 2:31,Psalm 16:10, or Genesis 37:35.
You should read the bible and find out. Sorry I guess I might have got carried away on this question, you don't have to believe me. I don't know what your religion is, but if you want to you can read the bible still to find out.

The Bible doesn't condone masturbation and if God created us with these feelings and needs, I honestly believe that it's better than going around and f****** your brains out. Besides it's a release not only on a sexually level, but on a mental, emotional and physical.
I'm 100% sure that you won't go to hell for that.
p.s. NOT everything we do in life will glorify God, unfortunately we are sinners and have been born with certain aspects of our lives that we need to deal with, this is one of them.

I doubt there will be a "best answer" from this post and, based on the other posts I am seeing - I imagine some "thumbs down". But in most religions masturbation is considered a sin, to some degree. One biblical reference is from Paul's first letter to the Corinthians:
"But I say to the unmarried and to widows that it is good for them if they remain even as I. But if they do not have self-control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion. " 1 Corinthians 7:8-9.
I think the bigger piece to keep in mind is that God loves you. Jesus forgave the murderers who were crucified along with him, He will certainly forgive you - if it is even needed - for taking good care of your body.
Peace and all good.

No it isn't.
There is one story in the old testiment where a man died childless and according to jewish law at the time his brother was required to go and impregnate his wife so that his brother's house would not die out. Instead of fulfuilling his duty after having sex with the woman he "allowed his seed to spill on the ground" and was struck dead.
Some ultra concervatives read this to mean that masturbatjion is a sin. However, the vast majority of christian theologians say the seed spilling wasn't the problem, it was the deriliction of his duty to his prother that was the sin.
Other than this I don't know of any other instance wjhere masterbatino is specifically mentioned, so my take is that it is not expressly forbidden.

Well, the bible also says that slavery and stoning people are OK. You will not go to hell for masturbating. Don't feel guilty; it is natural and healthy.

Sister once told us boys that if we masturbated we were killing a baby therefore we were breaking the fifth commandment. Father came in the next week and corrected her.

Think of God when you masturbate and your problem is solved. (Sorry, but I am a little tired of this question. I have seen it about a bazillion times on here and it gets really redundant.)

in the old testiment it is said "And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also." Gen.38:9-10
