ummm....some people work midnight shift!!! are you people living on the same planet as me?!!

i should not have to go out of my way to put a sign on my door saying i work night shift! these people obviously have no respect and no common sense at all! it dosnt take a rocket scientest to figure out why people do not like them when they have no respect for people's privacy!!!

I guess not, they used to do it to me & I put a note on the door that says: All Jehovah's Witnesses that knock here will be shot!

In most parts of the United States, each congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses has a daily "meeting for field service" at either 9:am or 9:30am. They discuss a daily text, review a few points concerning the ministry, assign partners and territories, and then pray for holy spirit. In most places, Witnesses approach their first doors at either 9:30am or 10:am.
The United States branch office of Jehovah's Witnesses recommends that local congregations do not plan to call at homes earlier than 9:am, unless there is a prior appointment. When unhappy householders complain that "Jehovah's Witnesses" call at unreasonable times of the day, the householders should perhaps ask themselves exactly why they believe it must have been genuine Witnesses who knocked or rang the doorbell.

They have a brain, and they have a heart too. just put a sign on your door night worker, they won't bother you until afternoon
You see they are looking for people that want to live forever and can help them learn how. If this is something you are not interested in then just tell them, they will stop coming.

being one of those jehovah witnesses why dont you put a sign on the door that says you work night shift see its not so hard.we dont start knocking on doors until 9:30 but just leave a note where we can see it and we wont knock. we do respect your work thats all it takes.

I work midnights and boy do I know the feeling!! I get church people from the church of the holy door knockers. I live at the top floor in my building, so they are trespassing when they knock on my door an haven't rung the bell.
I don't open the door and with a strong (not mean) voice inform them that they are trespassing and can only come in the building with an invitation. If they want to preach, they can stand on a public sidewalk. Short and sweet with no "Have a nice day."
They got the message. It's been over a month since the "trespassers" have knocked.
In your case, post a sign. No solicitation of ANY kind. Don't indicate that you sleep during the day or work nights; that's info that no one needs.

are you sure it is Jehovahs Witnesses? thats pretty early for them. i happen to know that the Men in Black, or is it the little grey men, usually go out about that time. id be afraid, Giggle Bear. id be very afraid. for your sake, i hope your clock is just a wee bit fast.

They are just doing what they do. You might want to contact the Kingdom Hall in your area and let them know that you work nights and ask them to stop coming to your door and disturbing you. If ALL else fails, call the police and report them for disturbing the peace and trespassing, when you have clearly asked them not to come. Good luck and Blessings!

They hope to convert you to their religion.
And they wake up really freaking early. I don't know how they do it, and I think all religious/political/ideological fibbers should stay away from my door to begin with!
If I were interested in the information than I would look it up myself. Religion should be a private affair.
Imagine if I got up early in my pink slippers (I'm atheist) and went door to door about how the bible or koran or whatever is a load of crap. They get away with a lot.

our brains tell us that 9:30 am is the best time to reach you. 9:00 is actually when we meet prior to field service.
