i'm Muslim but i think this is banned in islam !

To answer your question they are Shias.. And not all Shias believe in this .. it is AGAINST ISLAM to harm yourself as this body is a Amana ( loan) from Allah and it is explicitly forbiden in islam to harm yourself in ANY manner. Lawerence of arabia is onto something until he talks about salafi.. The real name is Salaf As Saleheen ( Followers of THe Righteuosly Guided ie Sahaba Iqram (RA)). The media claims they are supported by Saudi Arabia but they put alot of poeple who dont call themselves Salafi in the Salafi group Ie "Wahabbies" Qutbies, Ikhwann Ul Muslimeen, and ext. The thing with Salafi is that they (other than the Qutbies) push towards education (the reason why they are hated by the mainstream sunnies .. because they put emphasis on Education of Science, Math and ext at par with Educationg oneself about Islam) and enlightenment through education.. and also unlike mainstream sunnies they DO NOT follow any imam ( which exlpains the resentment of Lawrence of arabia) According to Salafies Islam is simple and it the responsibilty of everyone to study it and follow as they interpret it. The way they say is that 1) Follow the Quran literally 2) After the Quran Look to Shahih Al Bukhari and Shahi Al Muslim 3) AFTER exhausting the first two look to the next 4 Sahih books on hadith nuttin less 4) Education will help you understand.. It is madatory for EVERY muslim to be educated...

I went through your questions and answers and it seems, no matter how much this matter is explained to you, you still claim that Shiasm allows it!

What I know, and what I've been taught, and what I have read in Shia books, is that this act is not allowed in Shiasm.

You should fear God for spreading hatred.
You should fear God for talking out of ignorance.
You should feel ashamed of what you claim to be, because you are not one bit close to a real Muslim.
A real Muslim wouldn't accuse.
A real Muslim wouldn't point.
A real Muslim wouldn't spread hatred.
A real Muslim would leave it up to God to judge everyone else.
A real Muslim wouldn't lie.
A real Muslim would do a little research from acceptable sources.
A real Muslim wouldn't follow blindly.
What else can i tell you about a real Muslim?
You are not following any of these, so in the eyes of God you are not considered to be a Muslim until you follow these guidelines, the basics of Islam.

Shiite Muslims have some soul searching and Koranic studying to do. (Hope no Shiite sees this. Actually there are lots of good Shiites, too.) But really, religions, as they spread, mix with the cultures of the lands they spread to. This is perhaps a "persian" custom that can be traced back thousands of years. It needs to be updated.

Hurting ourself unnecessarily is forbidden in Islam, and mainstream Muslims don't believe in such practise. If your really want to be a good Muslim, just perform good deeds, say your prayers and pay your charity is commanded by Holy Quran. Never do things that are never commanded by Allah and His Messenger.

I wonder isn't it better they donate their blood instead, to save lifes?

Shia Islam is not mainstream Islam. This is extreme behavior that is NOT supported by the majority Sunni population.

Shiites represent less than 10% of the world's Muslim population, yet they grab the attention of the Western media after 9/11 and the war in Iraq to justify millitary and crusader activities in the Middle East.
