If you are interested in this subject find a copy of "The Ground Truth". A movie made by US Iraq soldiers.
Don't watch it if you are not ready to be moved and get a whole new approach to "supporting the troops".
Support our troops by bringing them home safe and fast.
Peace is not a terrorist activity.

I've seen the website and some footage from conferences of Iraq Veterans Against the War.

Brave people speaking truth to power. My hat's off to them.

Not much. But we do have the lst Amendment. Who knows, maybe they are right. I only hope they don't start knocking our troops. This phenomena of vets doing this has been around a long time. Dissensions about fighting in our wars is nothing new. The draft riots in NYC were very volatile and Federal troops had to be brought in. At least they waited until they were discharged.

I think, no I KNOW they are a minority.

Why do you make such a big deal about 7 soldiers who deny there is a threat when you can find thousands telling you our enemy is real?

I am one with a circle of many that explain why this mission is important. I have been there. Read my blog, if you wish to pretend to be concerned about what the soldiers are saying. Visit the pages on my friends list. There are more than 7 combat veterans telling you the same thing.

It is every Americans right to have freedom of speech. As a former Marine who served in the Gulf War, I may not agree with what you are saying but I will defend your right to say it......This is what makes our Country great.......

they want peace???????????

why would anyone want that????????????

make em PROVE that they are COs and they really are not interested in killing anyone (that they just joined the military in the first place for college money help and the travel opportunities)

then if they can prove that, just let em do anything, both sides covered then, just like John Kerry (a war hero and a peace activist)

I would think it perfectly reasonable. After all, as veterans I'd assume that they're patriotic Americans and therefore passionately against the illegal, ill-advised, mindless war for no reason that the anti-American Bush-Cheney administration launched against Iraq.

tamtam how exactly does one become a veteran by force in a volunteer military? you are ill-informed.

Edit: Bush is not- The question asks what do you think about Iraq veterans? All Iraq veterans are volunteers.

They have every right to advocate for peace. Remember many of them are veterans by force not choice. Also, who has more right to be against war, someone who's fought in one or someone who has never served at all.

I wouldn't think about it, not my business. As long as they stay the hell out of my face I don't care what anyone thinks. And why would anyone advocate war anyway? ESPECIALLY those of us that have seen it.
