I grew up listening to Christians. In fact, listening to Christians is why I'm agnostic today.

listening to christian is easy .
show us a concrete scientific source of evidence by a neutral source , not related to christianity , that verify what's said by the bible.
when we ask someone to prove a verse from the bible , we meant from outside source, even using quran is ok with us . but no , most christian would probably say this ' xyz exist because the bible says so on verse xx . xx . yy ' i mean seriously whats the point ? so if you ask someone to prove cinderalla exist, and he just said , look at the book , it says on page 1 that she was born , thus she exist because he book says so , but no , it doesnt work that way right ?
-
till date , most of the christian website i visit ( while trying to convert to christianity ) tell lies.
the post pictures that they claimed to be the noah ark , but it's proven that it isnt . some honest christians also said it's fake , it's form by volcano lava and some stuff that causes that shape and infact similar smaller boat shapes formation are all over the area.
there are websites that claim that earth didnt rotate against it's axis , neither did it revolve around the sun , went on to post bs theory and crap. do note that there are simple experiment to shows earth is indeed rotating against it's own axis and in fact if you were to fly against the rotation , you could circle the earth faster .
there are also websites that insist earth is flat , and that the spherical earth show on tv and websites are just photoshops
galileo was also imprisoned when he show facts that earth is rotating and revolving .
some website claim carbon dating is fake, inaccurate and hoax , and the only example so far i seen them quoting is that they use carbon dating on a live penguin and a dead penguin , and the result is that they are hundreds of years old . but if someone who knows how to use carbon dating , they would know you can use it in this kind of situations. there are further explaination that explain why animals and living things cannot be accurately test because of the constant exchange and stuff.
from here it's pretty obvious that the christian website is trying to lie to believers about the facts of carbon dating so that 1st human can be easily disprove by them to be older than adam/eve.
several scientific evidence , through measuring the time taken for certain compressions of earth to happen , the age of the stones found on earth , collection and measuremnt of moon dust and many other factors indicate earth to be very old , yet people create false facts that earth is 6000+ years old.
the false fact i seen is tht they claim the magnetic field on the surface shows young earth because of the rate it is deteriorating. but thats assuming that the core magnetic field is the same as the surface which clearly isnt. to prove this , you just have to take a magnet and try to attract metals 1m away.
you see , all these lies , after i read , i am turn away from those fundies christians and protestant . and seriously i assure you , even if i one day were to convert , i would rather join catholic or universalist . they are way honest and admit when some scientifc facts prove them wrong.
even the true word for eternal remain clouded by most christian websites. i am not gonna emphasise it anymore.

Not a believer but I have no problem listening to most Christians. I've had some great conversations with them and count many as friends. I have a problem listening to fundamentalists, regardless of religion.

I listen to christians all the time. They've been kind of hard to avoid when living in America.
Oh, are you saying - what would it take for you to believe what a christian told you?
That's something completely different.
My answer says it all.

I grew up in the deep South, went to a Baptist church with my grandmother as a child, and spent a great deal of time with religious relatives. One of my best friends in high school went on to be a Methodist preacher. One of my close friends now is a fundamentalist, but I had to tell him that if he brought his Bible to my house again in an attempt to convert me, we were gonna have to end our friendship - he cared enough to comply and he knows I'm a good person. I have listened to Christians all my life. It has only strengthened my disbelief.

It would take, for me to see one actually practicing what he/she preaches.
AND
They would have to be secure enough in themselves and their religion that they are open enough to agree to disagree without trying to ram their nonesense down my throat.
Every "Chrisitan" I have ever met, opens their mouth, but never closes it long enough to get a word in edgewise.
They keep their ears and hearts closed believing they are protecting themselves from evil and never getting the opportunity to experience that what they think it EVIL and HEATHEN might actually be another person or cultures way of describing the same person.
FOR EXAMPLE, They Christians went to New Zealand and walked into a Maori Meeting House and said "GODLESS HEATHENS, THEY WORSHIP ENGRAVEN IMAGES! KILL THEM ALL AND BURN THESE BUILDINGS!"
When in actuallity, the Maori had no written language and the carvings and weavings tell the same stories as the Bible.
In other words, Christians, pull your head out and stop thinking you know everything when you SERIOUSLY DONT.

Ask a Christian why anyone would want to listen to him. Personally, I would rather sit and watch paint dry.

I listen to Christians all the time. I don't have a problem with most of them, just the fundamentalists that tell me I'm going to forever burn in hell if I don't accept Jesus. (How Loving!)
