I am looking for a pet not a champion bloodline or anything. I have checked petfinder, local shelters, and rescue sites and no luck. Any ideas?

English Bulldogs are very likely the most expensive dogs to own. They are artificially bred and artificially delivered. Their health problems are expensive to treat and often require surgery. They require maintenance beyond simple feeding. They are nice to look at, but like several other breeds the cost of the dog is only the beginning cost of owning the pet and if they aren't properly trained they become disagreeable. Even with the expensive cost to buy one - there are too many that rescue groups become responsible for because their owners are Not responsible for them or can't afford their care.

Chances are good that you will not find an inexpensive EB puppy. Often times it happens that people pay big bucks for a poorly bred dog with health problems just waiting to surface.

Study the breed & their needs. Educate yourself about them & possibly volunteer with a breed rescue group to learn more. See if this is the dog you really want and are able to accept responsibility for.

You didn't say which part of Florida you're in, and since Petfinder won't let me do a full state search, I just did Miami. I was able to find some puppies, and ALOT of young adult to adult dogs on Petfinder.

Did you contact the akc and ask for breeder referrals in your area? Also check the akc website for english bulldog rescue in your area. They might not have what you want today but they can put you on a list.

They sell for that all along the Mississippi River Valley area. Just check newspapers in that area. You may have to drive to pick one up , but at least you will get a reasonable price and get to pick from a litter of babies.
