I believe that it is possible for Christ to have had children and such. The world does not need to know who his descendants are. We would plague them with our troubles. Jesus tried to teach us that we have the same powers and abilities that he does and folks have managed to misconstrue everything he tried so hard to show us.

The Bible is the last place you want to go to and find facts about Jesus life. Lets look at the facts. Jesus was a revolutionary rabbi. Jesus protested the Jewish temples stance on sacrifice. Jesus had a fallowing which threaten the powerful and rich Jewish leaders and priests. The Jewish leaders and priests complained to the Romans who ruled the area. The Romans were losing their grasp on their empire and had a very negative and very dismal presence in that area of the world. So the Romans, out of fear of a revolution and losing their land, killed Jesus.
Those are all facts that can be proved with more sources out side of the bible.
If you want to go as far to speculate what his life was really like. Look at how rabbi's acted during that era. Read the books that didn't make it into the bible. Read other documents.
It is my understanding that most rabbi's of that era were encouraged to get married and have a family. So the possibility of Jesus having children is very high.

It's entirely possible that Jesus was married and had children. I don't know if he has any living decendants or not. Maybe we will never know. But if these descendants were found and validated, the effect on them would be life altering to say the least. As for the world, one can only guess what impact this would have. It wouldn't change my opinion of Jesus in the least. But I'm sure the major religions of the world would have a field day with it!

In a nutshell, there isn't any way to prove or disprove it. The Bible is SILENT on Jesus' personal life.
The theory that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married has been around for hundreds of years. Some of the old legends even suggest that Joseph of Arimathea took Mary Madgalene to France after Jesus' crucifixion, where she gave birth to a daughter.
The Catholic Church flat-out denies the possibility that Jesus married because sex is seen as carnal and Jesus divine. They believe that if Jesus had taken a wife, it would have lessened him. The Church has so corrupted the view of sex, that it is now called the original sin. In reality, the first commandment given to Adam and Eve was to multiply and fill the earth. I don't see the logic in how following a commandment can be a sin.
Personally, my salvation doesn't depend on Jesus' marital status. He is my Savior. Through this Atonement I can overcome sin.

The DaVinci Code is creative fiction. It is not based on facts, truths, much less proofs...it is just an entertainment product.
Jesus was the ONLY Begotten Son of Almighty God.
Mary did not remain a virgin throughout her life.
She and Joseph had seven children. (4 boys, 3 girls).
Jesus Christ knew FULLY at age 12, after his barmitzfa, what He was on Earth to do. He KNEW He would only live 33 years on Earth and His entire life was spent teaching, loving, helping, curing, and healing all those who came to Him and ASK Him to help them or heal them.
He went to the cross at Calvary, a sinless, perfect sacrifice.
He was born a virgin and remained one His entire life. He did not marry Mary Magdalene, though He rescued her from a life of being a whore, forgave her, and she accepted Him as her personal Lord and Savior and she followed him to Calvary and was present when He was resurrected, and she stayed with He, the disciples, Mary-his mother, and the multitude that watched Him ascend into Heaven. Mary Magdalene, was the woman, who took her only expensive treasure, a bottle of perfumed oils and used her hair to bathe Jesus' feet, and to anoint His head with the sweet oils the day before he was arrested, tried, and crucified.
Jesus Christ loved his mother Mary, and one of the last things He said and did as He hung on the cross, He made sure Mary would be well cared for, since none of her other children bothered. As the eldest son, by Hebrew law, it was His responsibility to see to the care of his mother and He did. He gave her care and well-being into the hands of John, who had no mother.
Knowing this about Jesus, and his honesty, honorableness, and care for His mother and respect for Hebrew law, it adds secondary validity to Almighty God's words that Jesus was a virgin and remained so His entire life, so that He would be a perfect, innocent, sinless sacrifice that was acceptable to Almighty God for all the sins of mankind.

Jeus is the son God, how come he has children. As son of God he is also God. You are only displayiong your ignorance about the bible. Will you please read it so that you will know what you are talking about?
Jesus became man when he was sent by God, the father to save the sinners from their sins and to preach ab out the Gospel of God because at that time many people do not believe in God.They have theiur own God as cow, sun, moom, stars, earth and many others which are superstitions.
Jesus have his sisters and brothers from Mary and Joseph. In fact one of his brothers is Judas but it was not elaborated vcery well in the bibble and it is for the reader to understand it, if you know how to understand.
DaVinci Code is just a kind of novel came from the mind of the writer. There is no truth about it.

the answer is yes, he was a first century Jewish male from a wealthy family and would have married at age 13 by custom.Just because it was not mentioned in the christian bible does not mean he did not have a family(many books were deleted and edited to make the bible as it is now,and was not finished until the tenth century.enough time to make them disappear)As to his decedents there is no way to trace them ,anyway most Jews alive now are indirectly related because of the amount of time that has past.

IF Jesus had gotten married and had children, that would not have been a sin. So, with that knowledge, if it were not a sin, why would it be left out? What pupose would it serve to leave it out? None! Jesus did not come to earth for that purpose. His purpose was soley to come and die for us to take our sins punishment so that we could come to God.
Jesus discloses many things about himself in the Bible. Also, there are no Historians, from a non-Christian point of view, from that general time era that mention it either. Josephus Flavious would have commented on it, but he didn't. Don't you think Pilates annals would have mentioned it. Tacitus would have mentioned it. The Jewish Rabbi's would have mentioned it and probably went after his children to kill them had he had them.
It makes no sense.
Jesus was not married, nor did he have children.

Honey, the Davinci Code is nothing but fiction. Christ was much too busy teaching and ministering to marry. Not to mention the fact that He would never have married just to leave a widow shortly afterwards.
Get a clue and study God's Word instead of fantasizing. ;-)

No. Because if he did, there would be no reason to hide it, as marriage is not sinful. Nor would there be any special authority given to his children. He had physical relatives and said that all who follow God's word are equal, and there is nothing magical about his DNA.
There would be no reason to hide it if Jesus had married and had children. Several of the disciples / apostles were married, and their wives were early church members who traveled with them. There are many teachings about marriage in the New Testament, and if Jesus was married, they would have given him as an example of a husband.
Plus Jesus knew he was leaving this world at 33. Him getting some woman pregnant then leaving her would have made him a bad father! Don't think Jesus was the type to have children he wouldn't raise.

I think there'd be SOOO much debate on whether or not they were really Jesus's descendents that the world would be torn in two. Even if we could prove it, there would be many Christians who would refuse to believe it. It's almost the kind of thing a war would be started over, sadly.
I personally believe he did have children. Whether descendents are around today, who knows?
